Dr. Abdullah Al-Yahya has been detained since December 2021 over a tweet in which he expressed opposition to normalization with the Israeli occupation and criticized its advocates.
Since his arrest, his case has been surrounded by secrecy, with serious concerns over his denial of basic legal rights and fair trial guarantees.
Together for Justice stresses that rejecting normalization and defending Palestinian rights is not a crime. We call for his immediate and unconditional release, and for an end to the imprisonment of individuals for peaceful political expression.

Taybeh, one of the last entirely Christian villages in the West Bank, is facing growing pressure, land seizures, and fear of displacement.
Ancient Christian communities in the Holy Land must not be erased.

The last entirely Christian village in the West Bank is facing escalating pressure from Israeli settlers and Israeli government policies.
In the past week, settlers have attacked the village quarry, seized additional land, established a new illegal outpost, and threatened to kill Christian residents.
Meanwhile, those who never miss an opportunity to tell us that Israel is a haven for Christians have had nothing to say.

“There are a lot of 'limping monuments' in Palestinian villages, of those who tried to, so there is a price being paid... I'm constantly turning villages into conflict zones”. This is what Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth, commander of the military forces in the West Bank, says in Haaretz, published on 3 May (Sunday). The senior officer goes on to say: “The Arabs understand that ‘If someone comes to kill you, kill them first’ is the norm in the Middle East, so we're killing like we haven't killed since 1967,” explaining Israel’s open fire policy in the West Bank.
Bluth brags about the extensive killing in the West Bank: “We've killed 1,500 terrorists in three years… 96 percent of the 1,500 killed were involved in terrorism, only 4 percent were not.”
From October 2023 through 22 April 2026, Israel killed 1,066 Palestinians in the West Bank, including 231 children. The vast majority were killed by military fire, with 32 killed by settler militias.
Using the label “terrorists” to make it permissible to kill Palestinians reflects the worldview of many senior Israeli officials regarding Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
For example, in early 2025, Defense Minister Katz said that, if necessary, Israel would do in the West Bank what it did in Gaza.
In November 2023, Bezalel Smotrich, Israel’s Minister of Finance and Additional Minister in the Ministry of Defense responsible for the Settlement Directorate, said "There are two million Nazis in the West Bank," later adding that "Funduq, Nablus, and Jenin must look like Jabalya."
With Palestinians fully dehumanized in Israel, and in Bluth’s command, the military is deepening its oppression of Palestinians and pursuing a policy of ethnic cleansing in the West Bank. Under Israel’s apartheid regime, Palestinians’ lives continue to be treated as entirely expendable.

Elections have been held in Gaza for the first time in 20 years.
Palestinians in the West Bank also cast their ballots and despite the war creating immense challenges for the population, half a million Palestinians made their voices heard.
@SSinijlawi believes it was exactly those challenges that motivated the push for fair and free elections. It may even represent a glimmer of hope for a population that has suffered for far too long.
Do you think a change in leadership is on the horizon?

For years, the international community justified avoiding Palestinian elections by claiming Hamas would take over again.
The recent local elections proved them wrong.
53% voted despite frustration, war, economic collapse, and political exhaustion. Another large segment stayed home out of apathy toward a failed leadership — not support for Hamas or Islamic Jihad.
The real fear was never Hamas.
The real fear was democracy.
Meanwhile, Mahmoud Abbas is trying to impose his son into the top leadership of Fatah while Palestinians suffer: • Schools operating only 3 days a week
• Salaries cut since 2022
• Hospitals collapsing
• Economy devastated
• Freedom crushed
This is not moderation.
This is political decay wrapped in international legitimacy.
Palestinians deserve presidential and legislative elections now.
No people should remain hostage for 21 years to one man, one circle, and one failed system.

Fahad bin Saeed Al-Abdali remains arbitrarily detained after years in Saudi prisons, amid a near-total blackout surrounding his fate and growing concerns over his safety following repeated transfers between detention facilities.
According to available information, Al-Abdali was repeatedly targeted over cases linked to freedom of expression, while authorities reportedly used constant prison transfers as a means of psychological pressure, isolation, and restricting communication with his family.
Legally, the absence of transparency regarding his whereabouts and legal status raises serious concerns of enforced disappearance, while denying him access to family contact and legal representation constitutes a direct violation of fundamental fair trial guarantees.
We call for the immediate disclosure of his fate and place of detention, guarantees of his safety, and an end to arbitrary prison transfers and abusive treatment against prisoners of conscience.

Israel quietly issued new maps that show its forces now control nearly two-thirds of Gaza, with a new orange line extending beyond the area agreed to in the October ceasefire https://t.co/GFfiVoGhbg
