Hello @mel_tandoc the Lectionary for Optional Memorial for today’s Feast of St Joseph the Worker hits the core of what we are called to be by St Paul Colossians 3:14-15,17,23-24 …yes “we are called to be slaves of the Lord Jesus Christ” 👩🏻🤝👨🏼
As an Iranian American who fled the barbaric Islamic Republic, I chose the farthest place on Earth from that nightmare: the United States. I came here seeking freedom, safety, and a life without the constant threat of religious tyranny.
Now, as an American citizen, I watch in disbelief as mosques sprout like mushrooms across cities, Muslim populations surge in major urban areas, and elected officials from that faith rise, one by one, into the Senate, mayoralties (like New York City's first Muslim mayor), and other powerful positions.
It feels like I am traveling back in time to where I started. And I am like "Come ooooon... again? Do I need to run once more?”
I've lived under Islamism's grip. I know what starts with "tolerance" and "diversity" can end in oppression. America, please learn from Iran's tragedy before it's too late. Freedom isn't guaranteed, it must be defended. 🇺🇸🇮🇷
