The government has the power. The president has the authority. The promises have already been made. What is left is the political will to act decisively.
Ghanaians deserve more than speeches and shifting positions. We need action, and we need it now.
We are simply asking the government to do what it promised. Nothing more, nothing less.
Not long ago, we were told that a state of emergency would be declared in the fight against galamsey. We were assured that AI technology would be deployed to track and end this menace.
This is a sharp contrast to the strong words and commitments we heard before.
Meanwhile, our rivers are dying, our lands are being destroyed, and our communities are suffering. Every day that galamsey continues, the future of our children is being stolen.
These were bold promises that gave many Ghanaians hope.
But what do we see today? A government that now says it is reluctant to take those very steps. Instead of firm action, we are being told to wait and allow the security services to do their work.
On Saturday, 14th June, the Daniel Armah Foundation marked a special moment by wrapping up the founder’s @Daniel_Armah_ birthday week with two impactful initiatives a heartfelt visit to Angel of Hope Orphanage and the successful execution of our Feed the Street outreach. #DAF

On Saturday, 14th June, I ended my birthday week with a visit to Angel of Hope Orphanage.
We also carried out the Feed the Street outreach successfully.
It was a fulfilling and impactful experience.
