3/3. Fault Lines aims to identify these structural gaps early—before fractures harden into crises. I’m glad to contribute to a series focused on institutional clarity, prevention, and democratic resilience.
2/3. My article looks at antisemitism as a prevention test-case: how Canadian institutions often manage escalating hate as a social issue until it crosses a security threshold—when prevention has already failed.

1/3. Pleased to contribute my first piece to Fault Lines, @TheHubCanada’s new series examining the pressures testing Canada’s civic and democratic foundations.
Grateful for the opportunity to engage this project at its launch.

🚨My latest op-ed on @OpenCanada examines why Canada’s Bill C-257 is more than a free-speech debate — it’s a foreign-policy test.
When terrorist glorification is tolerated at home, credibility abroad is at risk.

5/5. Australia shows the danger of waiting too long. Canada must debate C-257 seriously, enforce hate and terror laws consistently, and treat antisemitic mobilization as a public-safety threat. Drawing the line early protects lives. After the attack is already too late.

1/5. I strongly condemn the terrorist attack on a Jewish Hanukkah event in #BondiBeach. This was antisemitic violence, plain and simple. My thoughts are with the victims, the wounded, and their families. Solidarity with Jewish communities—terror must never be minimized.
4/5. This is why Bill C-257 matters. It proposes criminalizing the wilful promotion of terrorist activity or groups through public statements. The goal is prevention: stopping extremist indoctrination before it turns into planning and attacks—not policing legitimate debate.

Our latest from Daniel Robson...
Canada's Bill C-257 is a test of whether Canada will remain a permissive hub for extremist narratives or align its laws with the counter-terrorism standards it demands from its allies.

Stolen Canadian cars aren’t just a local policing issue — they’re fueling a global criminal supply chain.
In my latest piece for @TheHubCanada, I examine how auto theft has gone transnational, why Canada is falling behind, and what needs to change.
