@KathyParr101 The current #tubestrike has nothing to do with pay, however, a decent pension in retirement should be the norm for all workers.
Punching down until we’re all left with nothing is a peculiar contemporary trait that will only lead to the return of the poor house and destitution.
These workers are an essential part of what makes John Dewar & Sons a successful business, they deserve better.

Ash Sarkar, "Jim Ratcliffe is a stinking hypocrite"
"He became a tax resident of Monaco to save £4 billion that could have gone towards British schools, the British NHS, towards British defence, instead he decided he wanted that money for his own pocket"
"If it wasn't for immigration, Manchester United would have had just three of their starting eleven last night - not really going to beat West Ham with that"
"The kind of language: being colonised by immigrants"
"That moves beyond talking about immigration as a policy"
"You're talking about people who come here to live, to work, to have families, as though they are a hostile occupying force, taking away your language, your culture, your ability to survive"
Victoria Derbyshire, "Some voters believe their language is taken away"
Ash Sarkar, "There are some people who believe the moon is made of cheese, but it doesn't mean they are right"

Really good to spend some time with @UsdawUnion Rep Teams in Tesco Dunfermline Fire Station and Tesco Bathgate during @UsdawScotland’s Regional Membership Week. Well organised stores making a difference to members day in, day out.
@UsdawScotland@UsdawUnion Thanks for inviting me and I promise I was much happier to be there than I sound in this clip! Great meeting and chatting to Reps and hope that rest of event went well.
We have expressed our member’s anger, frustration and disappointment to Morrisons after the company have yet again refused to make a pay offer for staff - despite the immense hard work and effort contributed by our members every day in their workplaces.
Usdaw originally submitted a pay claim last November however, the company have repeatedly delayed the start and continuation of negotiations.
We have now registered a failure to agree, and we are asking Morrisons to meet for independent mediation with ACAS as well as continuing to call on the company to reverse this position and enter into meaningful negotiations.
We want to thank the National Committee for their continued efforts and the membership for your solidarity during this difficult process.
