This is the time to run (or walk, or hang out, or demonstrate) for our rights. Join me on Ocotber 22, and help me raise money for reproductive rights. https://t.co/H4puVMfLlo via @RaceRoster
Finished grading for the semester. Now I can say that half of the papers of students - in General Education, non Gender Studies courses - discussed abortion and Roe vs Wade (the topic was open). Never graded even one paper discussing abortion in these courses. #BansOffOurBodies
I just graded a couple of papers of students who, when asked to analyze a current issue, chose abortion. In a gen-ed, none gender studies class. Not sure what that means, but I've never graded even one abortion related paper in that class.
So much has been said already about this cruel and wrong decision (morally, socially, scientifically and more). I would just like to remind everyone - including myself - that our work is still important, now more than ever. I'm sure we'll find the power to continue.
@GidMK The concept "from scratch" when cooking. Didn't know you had to state that. Especially in a bakery/restaurant. And the obsession with the constitution. But that's for a different thread.
In 2021, @DanielaMansbach & Alisa Von Hagel wrote on the strategies of the anti-abortion movement: women-centered, fetus-centered, & third party focused. As abortion access continually shrinks, it's vital to recognize and combat these shifting strategies. https://t.co/hl2O5kG8nq
Want to know who testifies in public hearings when it comes to abortion legislation? (Yes, it is anti-abortion activists....). Check out our latest publication @ContraceptionJL, with @emma_romell, Rachel Dyer and Alisa Von Hagel. https://t.co/bKZm48dVAT
Great job, @emma_romell, taking the mountains of findings we have and transforming them into a coherent piece about the ideological imbalance in who testifies in public hearings.
And we're live! Check out our article in @ContraceptionJL on expert testimony in the abortion policymaking process - it's free at this link for the next 50 days! cc: @DanielaMansbach, Rachel L. Dyer, Alisa Von Hagel, and @WiscCORE

This is a piece we published almost a year ago @PRAEyesRight. It explains the shifting strategies of the anti-abortion movement, and how it came to control so much of the discourse, policy and legislation. A year after, I wish we were wrong...
The anti-abortion movement advanced to the Supreme Court in 2021. @DanielaMansbach and Alisa Von Hagel's prophetic January report covered the Right's various anti-abortion strategies: fetus-centered, woman-centered, & third-party protections: https://t.co/hl2O5kG8nq
Check out our opinion piece at @CapTimes today about the disparity in public hearings for abortion legislation, and why it matters.

Great job, @emma_romell! Very interesting data about the ideological imbalance in testimony. Did you know that, on average, anti-abortion right activists testify 3.4 times while pro-abortion rights medical experts testify only 1.3 times?
My first ever and first first-authored paper is forthcoming in Contraception 🎉! @DanielaMansbach, Rachel L. Dyer, Alisa Von Hagel, and I dug into 265 expert testimonies given over the last 25 years at Wisconsin legislative committee hearings regarding abortion.
