The SAFE working group deciding the fate of €16 billion for the Romanian Army's modernization was set up illegally!

Coordination was wrenched away from the Ministry of Defense and moved to the Prime Minister's Chancellery, overriding the Defence Ministry's constitutional authority and bypassing the Supreme Council of National Defense (CSAT).
From the Presidential Palace, the economic policy advisor is part of the group, not the national security advisor, even though we're talking about a military program.

The Chief of the Defense Staff and the commanders of the Land, Air and Naval Forces are nowhere to be found, that is to say, the very people who will actually use the equipment being bought. And, to make things worse, there is no representative of the national defence industry, nor the director of ARCTIS (the state institution specifically created to defend Romania's industrial interests in arms procurement).

In other words: the people making the decisions are not the ones who use the weapons, not the ones who could produce them, and not the ones whose job it is to defend the national interest.

These practices, along with the way 70% of the funds were funnelled to Rheinmetall, mean a real risk of entering an infringement procedure (Art. 258 TFEU) launched by the European Commission for breaching the principles of transparency and equal treatment laid down in the SAFE Regulation (EU) 2025/1106 and Directive 2009/81/EC.

In January 2010, when Romina was only 17, a Romanian TV station had on-air discussions about a leaked amateur sex video. A former friend of Romina’s, Daniela Bălan, who was dating Romina’s ex, alleged that Romina had sex with five men, followed by them “throwing water” on her head in the stairwell of a Bucharest apartment block after leaving the scene.

The clip was allegedly circulated online under titles like “Romina Gingasu – sex cu 5 băieți”. Apparently, Romina dated Silvius Prigoană (a well known dandy in the Bucharest highlife) and he was reportedly blackmailed with that tape at the time.

Romina made multiple TV appearances that turned into full scandals, with family drama tied to footballer circles and accusations of materialism and publicity-seeking. Again, while being a minor, Romina was bragging about dating a Romanian footballer, Victor Ropotan, who denied everything and said he only saw her scouting for men in clubs in Bucharest but had nothing to do with “this materialistic and attention seeking child”.

This is the same person who attacked conservative candidates in Romania’s presidential elections and used her high-level connections in Brussels, Davos, TikTok offices and even US intelligence circles to campaign aggressively in favor of Nicușor Dan.
