Parents of students in Prosper ISD here in DFW were in for a rude awakening this week.
Two middle schools have outdoor construction projects that are affecting their morning dropoff and afternoon pickup routines.
Reynolds Middle on Coleman, Rogers Middle on Coit Rd. in Prosper, TX are both getting some significant improvements, but man… during the first week of school? That’s when the carlines are a bit challenging already.
And it is 100 degrees outside…
It is not all doom and gloom; the city has done a good job outlining the alternative gameplans for those schools and you can find that info on the city’s website and Facebook page.
But in the meantime, I’d recommend you give yourself enough time to navigate the temporary delays, compounded by some drivers who are simply new to the school.

It does look like there's a chance of not warming up above freezing on Friday. So after DFW drops below freezing Wednesday eve, it may not be until around midday Saturday before it warms above freezing.
That's around 63hrs at/below freezing. Remember last year it was 139hrs.
