@northernassist Just looking across all the messages coming through, it seems some basic communication could reduce the amount of complaints you’re getting substantially. The train I’m currently on has had no comms about it changing, that it’s the right train, why it’s now delayed again etc

@northernassist evening. Seems the 17:21 from Piccadilly to Buxton has been cancelled and the 17:51 has only 2 carriages (?!). Issues with the heat?

@northernassist Also sadly, the later train was cancelled on the platform and moved to another one with a single staff member trying to communicate what was going on to a very hot and bothered train. Felt sorry for the poor guy but at least he was doing something.

Now everyone has been moved to platform 9 with no staff on the train or communication about what’s happening. What is going on?

@northernassist morning - just wondering if fares have gone up recently? Disley to Manchester peak was £8 to £10 at the start of the year but now it’s £12-£14. Seems a big change.

@northernassist morning, I’m on the 08:14 from Disley to Manchester. Has this service changed to 2 carriages permanently? It’s a peak service and inevitably gets horribly overcrowded.

@Keir_Starmer The train company I use every week (@northernrailway) have put their £8.10 fare upto £13.40 in the last couple of weeks. This post explains a lot - they’ll now be able to freeze that and stick it in their pockets. Oh and on Wednesday the train was cancelled.

@KemiBadenoch Feels like all your posts are just criticism. I think you’d earn people’s trust more if you spent more time separating yourself from what’s happening and putting forward what you’d do to make things better. Simply saying “we have to…” carries no weight
