Attending the 5th Marruzza Congress on Pediatric Palliative Care, in Rome! Great conference, lot's of learning & networking... focus is "listening to families, really listening"!
@sophiaharrisCBC Total waste of taxpayers $. I had PCR Negative done 24hrs prior to returning to Canada from abroad, got tested at Pierson's YYZ, results have not arrived 1 week later, and 5 days later received an email to isolate if no results were back yet. ! Plus could be fined 500. A joke!
@tiffkeiller@StolleryKids@taylorswift13 Doctors don't have crystal balls and don't know the potential that each child has, specially when the child has engaged parents!!!
Vaccines take time to kick in.
Your immune system takes some time to react to the vaccine and give you protection from COVID. Evidence says good immunity is usually built two weeks after dose 1, great immunity two weeks after dose 2.

Can anyone explained to me why a physician, doubled vaccinated with Pfizer, can't work upon contact at home, even though he/she wears mask and googles at work (and needs to quarentine 14 days)?
@JPTasker great news piece today. As a physician, I wonder why the government is not "pushing hard" everywhere on the vacination front... drive through, 24hrs clinics, weekends, using pharmacies, etc... and they continue to rely only on the lockdown approach.
@parolin_ricardo Ai está a meu ver uma das respostas - nivel de cobertura de enfermagem (se os pacientes não morrem logo após a intubação não é pl procedimento em si).
@snakagawa_md Agree; it is a "pop machine", you pick what you want. We reccomend the best option, check values and their life stories, and decide together...
@cbcRosa Great report, really needed! As a pediatric intensive care physician I have seen similar cases. Who had this brilliant idea to make cannabis edibles to be similar to candies, cookies, gummybears, etc...? It is absurd to say the least! Legislation needed!
