@VirginTrains But there also may have been. Point was staff didn't even check or raise the possibility of booking then and there as there were still 20 minutes until train departure, wasted waiting in the queue for the ticket office.

@VirginTrains Neglected to book free bike space (my error) for 11:03 to New St, didnt realise this could be done at station. Was not informed of this by staff, instead being directed to ticket office and charged £50 for new train. Why could staff not inform me/check before?
