I am not a Covid denier. I am a lockdown denier.
I deny the right of the government to lock down healthy people.
I deny curfews, and travel bans, and business closures. I deny shuttered churches.
I deny dying alone. I deny cruelty to children. I deny forced family separation.
Tucker Carlson throws major shade at Bill Maher: “not a talented guy.”
“Bill Maher, I don’t want to be mean, but not a talented guy.”
“I remember going to his house, and he has this amazing house. And it’s like, wow, you’ve really—on the basis of very little native talent—[done well for yourself].”
“I know comedians no one’s ever heard of who are kind of geniuses—not the case for Bill Maher.”
“Almost 30 years ago, I first thought this. And I was like, ‘Wow, this guy. How did he get so successful?’”
In 1985 I made the USA World Championships Gymnastics Team. I placed 3rd at the Trials, my highest placement to date as a young gymnast.
At Worlds, on my 8th and final event I fell. It was a devastating fall. I missed a release move and tumbled to the ground. My right foot was stuck while my body spun around the knee. I knew it was bad. I screamed, or thought I did. No one came. It felt like forever on the raised platform, no coach, no trainer, no doctor while I writhed.
Eventually my coach realized I wasn't getting back up. They rushed to me. The trainer thought my knee was dislocated and he attempted to push it back in place. It wasn't dislocated though. My femur was broken - we didn't know that yet - and he was pushing bone against bone.
My dad joined me in the ambulance. I remember sobbing -- "What am I going to do now? I don't know how to do anything else. This is all I want to do."
He cried too. We assumed my career was over. He said: "You can do anything you want to do. You're smart and you can be anything you want to be. You're just getting started." He was right in so many ways.
But all I wanted then was to be a gymnast.
I was taken to the nearest hospital and rushed into surgery. It was a French speaking hospital and we didn't fully understand what anyone was telling us.
When I came out of surgery a doctor who spoke English told us "It was a broken femur. Not her knee." We cheered. We were all so happy. My coaches, my parents, me. Bones often heal better than joints.
I left Canada on crutches with a full leg cast. When I got home to Pennsylvania, my doctor changed the cast to a lighter one, with a hinge at the knee. And I went back to the gym. I started training right away.
8 months later, in June 1986, I walked into the arena in Indianapolis for USA Championships. No one thought I'd be there. Everyone thought I was done. Forever.
I knew I wasn't done. Not yet.
I won. I became the National Champion less than a year after breaking my femur on the world's stage.
Never give up. Never.
.@xx_xyathletics is fighting for fair competition for girls. 23 states refuse to allow it.
We face obstacles at every turn. We get banned from social media platforms. Networks won't take our ads.
We have @X. If you believe in fair competition for girls, support @xx_xyathletics & we'll continue the fight to change the cultural conversation.
This boy is the CA state champion in two girls’ track and field events. And the @latimes chose this as their headline.
Hernandez beat Trump.
That’s their takeaway.
What a truly broken brain wrote this.
Elon Musk’s estranged transgender son Vivian Wilson models women’s underwear for Savage x Fenty while “begging” the brand to give him bras.
“I lose bras on a rate that is shocking it’s genuinely impressive…I feel like I’m just begging on camera now.”
As a lesbian woman, I fucking hate Pride Month with every fiber of my being.
It makes us look like absolute shit.
The entire LGB has been hijacked by groomers, men in cheap wigs with toilet-paper tits, freaks duct-taping their peanuts to their asses, pedophiles, fetish weirdos and every other kind of gross filth parading down the street.
Real gay, lesbian, and bisexual people want NOTHING to do with this circus.
We just want to be left the fuck alone. The LGB community condemns these degenerates and every organization pandering to them.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. 🖕
Bret, you're falling for a lot of very obvious, sensational, anti-Israel headlines in knee-jerk fashion.
You owe it to your audience (and truth itself) to slow down, read the text of the bill, and ask yourself basic questions about whether this is a totally basic kind of agreement we make with many countries, or a uniquely insidious bill that essentially relinquishes control of our military to Israel for the purposed of "synchronizing" our militaries, as Massey implies it does.
It doesn't. You're being manipulated.
If you haven't done your due diligence investigating the issue, you should probably refrain from posting your hot takes. There are a lot of people who trust your judgement, and you're failing them badly.
1/ This is Charles Lee. Charles played on the boys' Capitol Heights youth ultimate frisbee team in Washington DC and on the Jackson Reed high school team with his brother.
Sometime around his senior year, he grew his hair out and began calling himself "Claire."
His freshmen year of college, he joined the "women's" team at Macalester. He also played on a mixed club team over the summer, accomplishing nothing of note when other men were also on the field.
Lee's decision to switch to the women's team may have in part been influenced by the fact that his younger brother was playing on the U20 USA national team, (later to be drafted to a men's pro team), incredibly successful as an ultimate player, while Charles was decidedly less so.
I’m sure you all remember Avery Jackson, the “trans girl” who, at 9, was on the cover of National Geographic in January of 2017. Avery was given the gold standard in gender affirming care: he was chemically castrated and sterilized with “blockers” to hold off male puberty.
Now Avery has come out as “nonbinary” and chosen not to pursue transition, meaning that his puberty was blocked for no reason — but that’s not the worst part. He also identifies as asexual, meaning that he doesn’t experience sexual attraction.
This is undoubtedly the result of the medication used to delay male puberty. The president of WPATH, Dr, “Marci” Bowers, has said on camera that so-called puberty blockers, which are used to chemically castrate sex offenders, chemically castrate the young boys who take them as well, leaving them incapable of arousal or orgasm.
For adult sex offenders, the process is reversible. For boys like Avery, the effects are permanent. He will never feel sexual attraction, or any of the experiences that accompany it. He is also completely sterile; he will never father a child, and his own childhood was spent in the national spotlight. The blockers he was given have also stunted his physical and mental development in irreversible ways. We know from the experiences of other “trans” children that he will never sexually mature - neither physically nor emotionally. All of these things were stolen from him, and he has said that transitioning “ruined my life.”
It’s high time that we stop pretending that children can make an informed decision to transition or take blockers, even if their doctors are honest about the risks and consequences — which most are not.
Blockers are not a pause button. They are not reversible. The intellectual deficits they cause will never repair themselves, and neither will the damage done to the child victim’s body, or to their emotional intelligence and maturity. This will, of course, make it easier to push them into transitioning; ie, to sell them hormones and provide surgical alterations.
Parents like Avery’s, who try to monetize their child’s struggles with gender identity, belong in prison, not on television, and so do the doctors and politicians who were complicit in his chemical castration and sterilization.
@JasonDHill6 A boy who can’t play on the girls team will kill himself, but the girl who can’t play on the team, because she loses her spot to him, is just a whiner with no sense of perspective. Trans is a cult. It’s a left wing shibboleth. No logic necessary.
Listening to @NPR these days is a very strange experience for many reasons. But perhaps the strangest thing of all is that so many of the reporters speak with thick, foreign accents. It is genuinely hard to understand what many of them are saying.
Bill Cassidy received $536,595 from pro-Israel groups and never voted against aid to Israel. Trump ended him.
Thom Tillis received $405,386 from pro-Israel groups and never voted against aid to Israel. Trump ended him.
John Cornyn received over $2 million from pro-Israel groups and never voted against aid to Israel. Trump endorsed his opponent.
Liz Cheney was endorsed by AIPAC. She never voted against aid to Israel. Trump ended her.
Thomas Massie knew he was going to lose — and he accepted defeat before voting even started.
A man who believes he can win doesn't shun voters right before the election to bake pizzas for "influencers."
Let alone embracing a swastika-wearing Holocaust denier.
Or appearing the day before the election for an interview with Cenk Uygur & Ana Kasparian, who both openly despise the good, decent people of northern Kentucky.
No, Massie had long ago written off the idea of actually getting re-elected.
He was angling for his next career move before leaving his current job — but "losing" in the primary was necessary for setting up his ability to not only follow, but maybe even exceed the post-government success enjoyed by MTG, Joe Kent, & Matt Gaetz.
Nothing is quite as certain for racking up a big audience and hefty payday like bashing Israel and the Jooos ad naseum.
Just ask Megyn Kelly. Or don't ask; she'll tell you, whether you care or not.
Whining about "Israel" is so lucrative that you can be omnipresent in Podcastistan and even Fox News despite having served jail time for leaking highly classified secrets. (See: Kiriakou, John.)
Heck, you can even be arrested & CONVICTED for attempting to molest underage girls TWICE — and you can STILL make bank, ironically from the very people obsessed with "Epstein." (Here’s looking at you, Scott Ritter.)
Massie knows all this.
Just like he knew he couldn't win a Republican primary in a deep MAGA district by running against Trump.
So it was all just a show.
All to set himself up for Life After Congress.
"Israel knocked me out of Congress, but they can't silence me!"
He'll make millions within the first 12 months after leaving office, which might come before year's end, of course.
And THAT is why Massie played things the way he did.
He played this race perfectly — just not for, well, winning re-election.
But for his bank account and groupie count?
No one could have maximized the future on both fronts better than Massie just did.
