🏆 Campaigning for Change Winners 🏆
What a week! From launching our third edition of our #UnfairToCare report in Parliament, to our second instalment taking home gold at today’s @3rdsectorcare Awards.
We’d like to thank our colleagues, people supported and partners for all of their incredible contributions to all of our #UnfairToCare campaigns so far - we genuinely couldn’t do it without you! 🙌
We've had a fantastic evening here at Parliament, launching our 2024 Unfair To Care report.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the discussions, asked questions and shared their experiences. We hope 2024 is the year we see the sector unite, our voices heard and change happen.

It's still Unfair To Care.
Despite the Support Worker role proven to be "skilled, accountable and complex", frontline care and support workers are still being paid 36% less than their equivalents in the NHS.
Three years on from our original Unfair To Care report, recruitment and retention in social care remains one of the biggest challenges facing society today. With over 152,000 vacancies and a turnover rate of 28.3%, it's never been more clear that low pay is a false economy that needs to end.
As we enter a pivotal election year, 'Who Cares Wins' - Unfair To Care 2024 presents an undisputable case for change. A 2.6 million strong 'social care vote' could be a critical factor in determining the outcome of the 2024 General Election. Our message is clear... WHO CARES WINS

“Would you do a job as a care worker for £18,000 a year?” asks #BBCLauraK
Rishi Sunak replies “The job I’m doing is making a difference to the country as prime minister” https://t.co/bMhfo30vCv
Great to see @bbclaurak tackle low-pay in #socialcare with the PM.
Care workers play a vital role in society. Our https://t.co/183Ue1GwiM report highlights how skilled, complex & accountable these roles truly are.
📢 They deserve to be paid fairly for their life-changing work.
Laura Kuenssberg: Maybe social care would improve is care workers weren't struggling on £18,000 / year.
Rishi Sunak: What if we gave them a SENSE that they're being paid more?
#BBCLauraK: Would you work for £18,000?
Rishi Sunak: Look Laura! My job actually matters!!
