The 370–48 vote is a fact. The partisan spin is not.

This was a bipartisan Continuing Resolution, supported by members of both parties, after the Senate passed it 90–6. Calling it Republicans single-handedly saving America from “Democrats creating chaos” conveniently ignores the actual vote.

Government shutdowns have occurred under both parties, and claiming Democrats deliberately shut down government to “create chaos” is political rhetoric—not an established fact.

Give credit for keeping the government open. But let’s not rewrite history or pretend bipartisan cooperation was a partisan victory.

“Temporary” doesn’t mean ignoring reality. TPS is extended when conditions in a country remain unsafe. Haiti hasn’t exactly enjoyed 16 years of stability.

TPS may be temporary by name, but the law allows it to be extended when the dangerous conditions that justified it continue. Haiti has faced devastating earthquakes, political collapse, gang violence, and humanitarian crises.

You can support stricter immigration policies without pretending this is simply about people overstaying a “temporary” welcome.

And “America First” should mean smart, lawful policy—not ignoring humanitarian realities or America’s own legal obligations. 🇺🇸

That’s a dishonest comparison. Obama restored Denali, a name Indigenous Alaskans had used for thousands of years. Biden implemented a congressional mandate to remove Confederate names from military assets—people who literally took up arms against the United States. Trump changing names isn’t automatically “honoring America.” Patriotism shouldn’t require pretending Confederate traitors were American heroes. 🇺🇸
