@flightradar24 For some reason FR24 is showing the *old* high altitude airways over Brazilian airspace, I realized it yesterday and it continues today...
@EbSilva2015 @roque1406 Sem contar que as aeronaves com grande envergadura têm que cruzar a 33 para acessar a cabeceira por causa da área militar, quando decolando dessa pista. GIG é muito burocrático, e só funciona OK quando operando na 10/15.
@EbSilva2015 @roque1406 Discordo. Quando opera nas pistas 28/33, é praticamente como se houvesse 1 só pista, porque quem decola da 33 tem que esperar o pouso da aeronave na 28. Quando decola da 15, que acontecia até há pouco tempo, a aeronave tinha que esperar as aeronaves em aprox para a 20 do SDU
@somewhatben@NTSB_Newsroom In other parts of the world ATC would say "continue approach" or "standby landing clearance", and only give landings clearances once the runway is indeed vacated
@somewhatben@NTSB_Newsroom May be someone can elaborate on this, but in the US it's normal to give landings clearances regardless the runway is occupied or not. You're given landing clearance even if there are 2 planes still on approach in front of you.
@n194at SDU/SBRJ, the airport with the most beautiful and breathtaking approach in the world, imho. I'm fortunate to have experienced a few landings on runway 02R already :))) basically a Kai Tak experienced, but on a 1323m (4340ft) runway
