An Open Letter to Miss Hayley Williams
Dear Miss Hayley,
First of all, congratulations.
Congratulations on building a career that has inspired millions of people around the world, on creating songs that have become the soundtrack to so many lives, and on proving time and time again that your talent only gets bigger with every year.
Now that I’ve said the nice things (all of which are absolutely true), I have one tiny complaint.
Respectfully… who thought it was a good idea to book such a tiny venue in Dublin?
I mean, surely someone on your team must know that you have enough fans here to fill a much larger venue. Instead, tickets disappeared faster than my emotional stability when I first heard All I Wanted.
Not only did I fail to get a ticket… there wasn’t even a resale opportunity. Nothing. Gone. Vanished. I refreshed Ticketmaster so many times I think my keyboard deserves therapy.
And here’s the most painful part: the venue is literally a 15-minute walk from my house.
Tomorrow, while everyone inside is screaming every lyric, I’ll be walking past the building pretending I’m totally fine.
I’m not.
So, for future reference, I’d just like to make one humble request:
Please book a venue that’s as big as your talent.
Because you deserve it.
Because Dublin deserves it.
And because I deserve to stop staring at sold-out pages wondering where my life went wrong.
Despite my theatrical frustration, I genuinely hope tomorrow’s show is incredible. I know everyone lucky enough to be there will have the night of their lives.
I’ll just be outside… emotionally supporting the walls. 😂
With all the love in the world (and just a tiny amount of emotional damage),
A very devoted fan,
Danilo Trevisan
