White Sox Twitter is a fuckin’ great hang. It’s like a psychotic townie bar where they allow smoking cigs inside and everyone shows up for a beer even if there’s a tornado outside.
This is a 25 year old lefty starter who ran sub-78 zcon and over 36 chase on his three most used pitches last year. He’s basically a fucking god on the mound. He might be the best pitcher in baseball next year removed from the White Sox disaster context.
Since RBI became official in 1920, only one MLB player has had, over the course of his entire career (same game or not),
a game with 10+ RBI
a game with 6+ hits
a game with 5+ XBH
a game with 3+ HR
a game with 2+ SB
That one player is Shohei Ohtani. He did all of it today.
@Ken_Rosenthal thank you so much for your work on the White Sox story. I’m glad now the rest of the sports world knows the sorry state of affairs to which the chairman subjects this team and its fans.
Ken Rosenthal And Britt Ghiroli Systematically Dismembered The White Sox Limb By Limb In "The Athletic" This Morning And It Was AWESOME https://t.co/s0jpw8SJxM
For all the factors that led to this season’s disaster for the White Sox, one kept getting attention: the plane.
@Britt_Ghiroli & @Ken_Rosenthal spoke to nearly 40 current and former Chicago employees about the the dysfunctional franchise.

Just heard from #Braves Spencer Strider, who provided clarity on issue in his elbow. A bone fragment formed in his UCL, ultimately broke loose, causing weakness in his ligament. Fortunately, the ligament was fine and led to the UCL bracing procedure. There was no need for TJ.
Good team: It's better to trade a player a year too early than a year too late.
Bad team: It's better to trade for a player a year too late than a year too early.
White Sox: It's better to sign the player a year too late, but make it for five years.
