This is still completely and utterly wrong. Her parents didn’t break any law at all, they were stuck in decades-long immigrant visa backlogs and so couldn’t get a green card before their daughter turned 21.
Seems @Heminator again declined to read the piece before commenting.
Hey @durbin.senate.gov and @amyklobuchar.com.
There may in theory be a case for the Combating Organized Retail Crime Act (CORCA). But the idea of expanding DHS/ICE's power NOW in a surveillance bill is nuts. Don't add it to the NDAA. Withdraw your support. No new powers for ICE.
Nichols: It’s almost like we have a relative in the room, and there’s something deeply wrong with him. And we’ve all agreed not to talk about it. But there is something deeply wrong with him.
His friends know it, his critics know it. His staff, I’m sure, knows it. The world knows it. World leaders know it. And most importantly, our enemies know it, which is why they don’t take him seriously.
Nobody hangs on his words. They kind of do, but mostly out of freakish curiosity to see what kind of wild thing he’s going to say next, not because his words have any inherent meaning or reflect policy.
You know, I spent years teaching students that when the president speaks, it’s policy, and you must pay attention when the president speaks because nobody can contradict him.
Now, you know, are we really cutting off all trade with Spain? Who knows? Maybe. Maybe not. It might have just been a stray electron, you know, careening around inside his brainpan. Who knows?
But this is really dangerous because in the middle of all this stuff—and we can laugh about, you know, the Islamic Republic of Japan and all of that—but he made several statements about an ongoing war that the United States is losing. And no one’s even trying to pretend that they can make any sense of it.
And I’ll just add one last thing that you just brought up.
If this were any other president, this would be a national crisis. I mean, Joe Biden got somebody’s name wrong, and it was headlines. The president gets all kinds of things wrong, completely, you know, is out to lunch at an important NATO summit, and, you know, it’s Wednesday.
A star is born. This is Marshawn Camese. He is brilliant. He needs to run for office. Watch him eviscerate a Louisiana MAGA state representative. Looooove him!
The Great America 250 Smoke Out: For those of us on the south side of the DC fireworks, it started out great. The beauty of it didn't last long on our side. Watch what happens as I speed it up about 40 times. I said to our guests after the initial bursts, "That's not good, the smoke is coming our way." We were soon enveloped in a wall of smoke. Inside, with the windows closed, our eyes started stinging and it smelled. The smoke was visible for quite a while, and you could still smell it outside this morning. We were the unlucky ones this time, with the wind blowing our way. Not a complaint, just thought you'd like to see it. #fireworks #dcfireworks #july4th #weather @capitalweather@ARLnowDOTcom@matthewyoung31@NFTC_News@dougkammerer@HillaryHowardDC
Watching the sky over the capital is the perfect metaphor for a Trump presidency: burning through millions of taxpayer dollars to create a record-breaking mess while everyone else is left to deal with the hazardous air quality and the bill.
The entire National Mall fireworks show in about a minute, seen from the webcam at the top of the Washington Monument starting with the B1 Lancer flyover.
🚨BREAKING: An ICE agents just tried to claim they were conducting “targeted enforcement”… after pulling over a U.S. citizen, and demanding he prove he was a citizen, in Seattle, Washington.
In the video, the man explains he had just bought the car from a friend. Then he asks the agent:
“Would you mind explaining how this works? Do you just run the plates?”
The ICE agent responds:
“Uh… so we’re doing targeted enforcement.”
The man immediately asks:
“And you saw me come off of Home Depot?”
And the ICE agents went silent.
Because he realized he messed up.
“Targeted enforcement” isn’t a legal justification for pulling over a U.S. citizen.
Federal agents don’t get to stop people on a hunch, demand identification, and hope they find someone they can deport.
They need a lawful basis for the stop.
So, what exactly made this man a “target?”
His truck?
The Home Depot parking lot?
Or was it because he looked Hispanic?
Because if agents are stopping people based on their race, ethnicity, or perceived immigration status, that’s a constitutional violation… not “targeted enforcement.”
The Constitution applies to ICE, too.
And if your entire justification falls apart the second someone asks, “Why did you stop me?”
It becomes pretty clear you never had one to begin with.
‘You could see the colour slowly draining from Trump’s face!’

PabloReports: How do House Republicans make the case that you're fighting for affordability when you go back to your districts?
Nehls: Affordability? What are you talking about? I'm gonna go there tomorrow. I'm gonna get me a couple of big lobster tails. I'm gonna get me some nice rib eyes.
Reporter: Do you think the 60% of Americans living paycheck to paycheck can afford lobster tails and rib eyes and all of that?
Nehls: Maybe not. Maybe the 60% of Americans don't work as hard as I do.
“I run the protection program, I’ll protect you,” House Speaker Mike Johnson tells a room packed with members of the Epstein Class.
To say this on camera reflects way too much sense of impunity.
Tillis: I’ve asked the police officers here: Do they feel like it was OK to give pardons to people who beat them and to prosecute people who, let’s assume for the sake of argument the facts are true, cut a pool lining and get 10 years?
You beat a cop, you get out free and potentially become eligible for restitution.
That seems unequal to me.
@SpinninBackfist All? or None? Who cares?! Give the flyweights to Bellator, and set UFC classes at 165 (WW), 175 (Lt MW) and 185 (MW). Clears logjam in the most competitive classes, better fights w/more finishes. Takes some pressure off of the insane wt cuts. #UFC
I simply don't understand how the US does not have any mechanisms to stop Trump's physical destruction of Washington, DC.
This country appears completley lawless.
