@LayahHeilpern What you may not know is that a small subset of men literally try to crush other men's hands when they shake them. It's presumably a way of showing they're the top dog or something. It's very strange, and pathetic.
@JackThompsonwlv @KonstantinKisin Will Smith built his acting career on a role (FPOBA) that involved endless fat and short jokes, by him, and at his cast members' expenses. But gently mock his wife's hair? How could you!?
@people_NOTcorps@Kasparov63@Euan_MacDonald People aren't rooting for them! I love many Russian people, so I'm all for people sympathising with the Russians and giving them the benefit of the doubt, but it's not really happening.
@Bentnancy1Bent @lorrainemking 100% right. I work in insurance pricing, and we absolutely do not consider ethnicity. We don't have the data to do so even if we wanted to, and, hey, big surprise, we don't want to because it would be massively unethical, not to mention illegal!
@lorrainemking @ElaineAdu_Poku It's not true, so no reasoning is required.
Insurers don't collect ethnicity data. They don't rate on surname.
Any significant differences found in premium are the result of correlation, not causation.
@matthewrupton @CitizensAdvice I work in insurance pricing and can tell you without doubt that ethnicity is never considered when setting prices. Claim history is! You're helping nobody with this, and encouraging people to see racism and sharp practice where it doesn't exist.
@sharoncove1 @CathyGreen67 @matthewrupton @CitizensAdvice More claims and bigger claims in certain areas. Sometimes this will correlate with skin colour, but insurance companies absolutely do NOT rate based on skin colour. For one thing, insurance pricing departments often have a LOT of non-whites.
@MattCave83@disarmonia People are not complaining about people disliking Putin, or even his soldiers. It's typical Russians, and Russian culture, both of which are getting a kicking despite not being to blame for these events. That's the issue.
@jleighton22@mosseri A stupid point of view. Nobody is suggesting Russian Instagram access is as important as the war in Ukraine, obviously. But allowing calls to violence against a particular group, & banning a widely popular form of communication...these are very important issues &need discussion.
@mosseri You're too intelligent to believe in your own point of view. Your rules, as they were leaked, would allow for someone to call for my Russian children's death, as long as the war was mentioned in some way. THAT is wrong.
