“This country is planted thick with laws…Man's laws, not God's! And if you cut them down…do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I'd give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety's sake!” Thomas More in A Man for all Seasons
I vividly remember all of these lines . Back then many supporting the Obama deal had good intentions but were naive. Sure, some were just sucking up to O. Today, almost all saying these lines are just suck-ups who seemingly don’t care about the potentially disastrous consequence
Yeah listen. Just as a matter of comms on Iran nuclear diplomacy. A lot of you are so young that in the mid-2010s your skulls still hadn't hardened and you weren't yet forming memories, so you think you're being original or clever when you stumble into the ideas below, which are actually lines Democrats mainstreamed a decade ago:
* It's this deal or war.
* Our unprecedented pressure succeeded in getting Iran to the negotiating table.
* Are you on the side of our president or (Netanyahu/Israel/the Jews)?
* You can't criticize the deal because you don't even know what's in it yet.
* You can't criticize the deal because nothing's final until it's final.
At Friday morning at 7:40 (central) I will be on @RelevantRadio@MorningAirShow to talk about my @PillarCatholic column which makes the case that Catholic’s need to better support faithful Catholic colleges. https://t.co/Nl9zN5a5Vg
Before I go on the @drewmarianishow on @relevantradio at 3:30 (central), an excellent @pillarcatholic piece on how Catholic colleges aim to navigate the demographic cliff. https://t.co/ojt5FJrcUQ
At 3:30 today I’ll be on the @drewmarianishow on @relevantradio to talk about my latest @pillarcatholic column “Save our Catholic colleges.” Whats should be more important to Catholics today, supporting politicians or Catholic education? Listen & call in https://t.co/Nl9zN5a5Vg
Why do Cub hitters choke with RISP? Tonight, 0 for 9. Brewers 6 for 9. Pathetic for all these highly paid Cubs. But obviously it is possible to hit in the clutch.
With runners in scoring position - Cubs 2-15; Sox 5-12. That’s the game. Cubs are a team of chokers. This was true even when they were winning. Whats wrong???
I admit that I was concerned when Bishop Barron was announced as a speaker at this because the event was highly politicized & I had problems with some of the other speakers. But I watched his address & it was an excellent education re:founding.Probably not what most came to hear.
Bishop Robert Barron delivered a keynote address at Rededicate 250 on Sunday May 17th, reminding us that human dignity begins with freedom — a freedom that comes from God, not government, and can never truly be taken away. “God could have made us robots or marionettes,” he says, but love only exists where there is free will. “If you’re forced to love, you’re not really loving.” We are made to choose God with our own hearts, because “love is what makes us fully alive” — we are children of God, created to love freely.
With runners in scoring position - Cubs 2-15; Sox 5-12. That’s the game. Cubs are a team of chokers. This was true even when they were winning. Whats wrong???
“ Their graduates punch far above their weight in their contributions to the common good of our country because they can think, write, and speak much better than most in their generation. “
“I witnessed the extraordinary value of such institutions to individuals, to the Church, and to our broader society and culture. https://t.co/Nl9zN5a5Vg
On this graduation weekend for many colleges, an appeal to Catholics to support the “institutions which are helping young Catholics develop into the men and women who will be at the vanguard of bringing about real change in the culture.” https://t.co/Nl9zN5aDKO
The Cubs need to stop screwing around with him and settle on a role. This continual experimentation carousel of Brown as a starter, long reliever, or closer has been ridiculous.
You can see the Cubs hat in my hand the Pope laughing as I said, “you know not even all us Southsiders are Sox fans, so I thought you could use a Cubs hat.”
“Opting in” their state’s families for additional education funding is the only sensible choice for governors. These dollars can be used for kids in public, private or home schools. “Opting out” only means the money goes to another state. Why would a governor do that to kids?
Democrat Governors are starting to realize that the teacher union's rhetoric of 'school choice will hurt kids in public schools' is a myth
We can have strong public schools and robust choice - the federal tax credit scholarship will help with that goal. Congratulations NY 🦬🦬🦬
So did Sec Rubio give Pope Leo a paperweight in thr shape of a tennis ball, football, or baseball? I’ve seen all three reported. When even simple, straightforward things are misreported what and who should I believe?
This is a must-read, consider, & discuss piece for Christians. “If you’re a believer…presidential blasphemy is a warning for his religious supporters about potential conclusions to the story, & the spiritual peril of simply sticking with him till the end. https://t.co/1ZWdCu6L9g
