@Phantom2Phlyer The term you are looking for is brand name and generic name. Miebo is the brand name, the other is the generic name. Like Tylenol and Acetaminophen
I'm old. I want to slow my deterioration.
Peptides might help. Creatine made me stronger. Now people say peptides would do even more!
But my government says I can't have them...
Why? Don't I own my body? Why do bureaucrats get to decide?
I go more into it, in this video:
This company might actually have the right idea for many. They are building a basic and cheap truck (base model $24,950) that customers only add what they want, not a bunch of stuff they do not want. They are building them in Warsaw Indiana and first deliveries scheduled to start in late 2026 Its called the "Slate" and this is off their website: https://t.co/vEkKiPxxB5
A Slate is a radically simple vehicle, for lots of reasons.
We set out to make the most affordable new vehicle possible. We miss the days when a truck was just a truck. We like looking at a road, not a screen. We don’t like paying for stuff we don’t need. We like picking out the stuff we do need. We know not everyone likes what we like. We want our cars to work with our phones, not the other way around. We engineered it to last a long time. We made more room for people and cargo, precious and otherwise. We decided it should cater to your taste, not ours.
So if you need a great, no hassle, daily driver that you can dial in to your taste and budget, a Slate is worth a look. That said, even with all the ways you can personalize it, a Slate is not for everyone. If you need to win drag races or towing contests or want a self-driving spaceship, a Slate is not for you. But even then, it does make a great second car. Just saying.
For people who are defending @LeaderJohnThune's decision to bar @ScottPresler from the social event last night, let me lay this bit of wisdom on you:
It would have cost him nothing to be magnanimous and let Scott attend. He had nothing to lose and at least the appearance of not letting "family differences" be an impediment to working together. But he had something to lose by appearing to be what many people think: That he is someone that is out of touch with the grassroots base.
This shows a repeated pattern of a lack of political awareness and discernment. SD should think long and hard about whether this is who they want representing them in 2028.
The road to the primary starts now.
My workshop today was a success, and I was already invited to return next year!
My stomach is very upset from my anxiety attacks stemming from having to present. I really need to get this under control if my job involves presenting to many kinds of groups- good grief!
I realize the @GOPSenate is on vacation for a few weeks...
FFS...Any of you have the guts to comment about what happened in South Dakota last night...
That's your leader...right...
Do you agree with him silencing us...one of the most important on the ground people in our party...
If you sit there in silence and do not act to remove him...we will go after every single one of your seats...
Ask Massie...Cassidy...Cornyn...
Where are you for MAGA...or have you all just been pretending...
We handed it all to you...and it's time to get behind what we voted for...Trump's Agenda...
Small, independent practices are in a David vs Goliath battle daily.
Big medicine gets the tax-exempt status, the nonprofit status, the govt kickbacks, the grants, and the bailouts.
Meanwhile, my 8 clinicians and I pay thousands a month in property taxes, aren’t eligible for the grants because we don’t offer “standard therapies”, and offer a good percentage of charitable care to patients who need it.
Patients will need to support the good guys to get the kind of care they want.
Let me set the record straight for those who can read.
I have been voicing my strong support for the SAVE Act since it's been introduced.
As I said today, I will stand on one leg and bark like a dog if that’s what it takes to get this bill passed.
BREAKING: Rep. Byron Donalds just went NUCLEAR on the US Senate failing to pass the Save America Act:
"The Senate SUCKS, I just want to come out and say that."
"If Bernie Sanders wants to hold the floor for six months, go ahead, let him. Swap out the depends, get some body armor, whatever you need, keep it going, because it demonstrates the stupidity of your argument, and that is what the American people want to see."
Now they're going on vacation until July 13th. Entirely unacceptable.
Going on for long time! My 2912v Nissan NV v 8 had the FN starter under the intake manifold.
Something I used to do on the ground for $100 is not $900!
HWGA...Buyer Beware.
New cars now come with no oil or transmission dipsticks so checking the oil is no longer possible by the owner. Starters on some makes are located inside the transmission bell housing so the transmission must be removed to replace. Alternators that require dropping the entire engine like on a kia stinger. Timing chains & guides located in the rear of the engine instead of the front which again require removal of the entire drivetrain. Pickup truck cabs & front sheet metal must be removed to work on the engines. Replacing a plastic door handle now requires a complete door panel replacement that comes complete even with new window & door lock switches. Fenders & other parts with patents that force you to buy replacements directly from the factory or are "vin locked" so going to the junk yard for a part is no longer an option. Ford has patented & will be installing sensors that monitor your pupils & pulse rates to see if you are in the right frame of mind to allow you to start your car. Auto repair shops have to lease & download proprietary software for their code readers costing between $7k to $10k per year depending on the mfg so they can repair your car or truck. Software that is installed in your car belongs to the manufacturer so you never really own your car & can be used to remotely disabled your car if you miss a payment. Heated seats & mirrors on monthly subscriptions. Data collecting of your driving habits reported back to the mfgs who sell it to insurance companies that use it to raise your rates or to cancel your auto insurance completely. Now new mercedes owners must go to the dealer just to open their car hoods. Owners are only allowed to add windshield wiper fluid through a fender opening. When does it stop? When we all keep our 10 year old cars & give them the middle finger.
If I hand my friend heroin and tell him it’s insulin, and he dies, I’m going to prison. 🚔
The court won’t care what I called it.
The court will care what it was.
The court will care whether I misrepresented the product.
The court will care whether my friend gave informed consent based on truthful information.
Now compare that to COVID.
If an ordinary citizen misrepresents a substance and someone is harmed, there can be criminal charges, civil lawsuits, financial liability, and public outrage.
But when pharmaceutical companies told the public they were receiving a “vaccine” while simultaneously discussing mRNA technology in gene therapy terms, disclosing gene-therapy classification risks to investors, and using technology that delivers genetic instructions into human cells, the public was expected to simply trust the label.
And when people were injured?
No criminal charges.
No accountability.
No jury trials.
No discovery.
No ability to sue in civil court because of PREP Act immunity.
No compensation through the CICP for the overwhelming majority of injured people.
In fact, many vaccine-injured Americans can’t even get their day in court.
Think about how insane that is.
If I deceive one person about what’s in a syringe, I can lose my freedom.
If a trillion-dollar industry misrepresents information to millions of people, those harmed are often denied both criminal accountability AND civil recourse.
One standard for ordinary Americans.
Another standard for the most powerful corporations on Earth.
Whether you’re pro-vaccine, anti-vaccine, or somewhere in between, everyone should agree on one thing:
No informed consent exists without truthful information. And no justice exists when those who are harmed are denied any meaningful path to accountability.
@AngoraGoatLady@JamesHu27192912 I'm turning 80 soon. I started writing software for finance and school grading systems in late 70s. In retirement I dislike spending time on a screen that serves someone else's convenience. MyChart (Epic) & other medical software are the absolute worst waste of time.
You know, if you convened a council of renowned deadbeats, chislers, and bums to figure out an argument to which I could not be less sympathetic, you could not do better than “I voluntarily took out a $100,000 student loan to get a degree in Transgender Ecuadorian Poetry of the Pre-Colombian Era and now that I have to pay it back I prefer that you people who didn’t take out the loan and who paid for your own education pay it back for me through your taxes so I can continue my career of getting on social media and complaining about things that are my own fault.”
Yes, I agree that student loans are a terrible burden. We (the fed govt) shouldn’t guarantee them. If your proposal is that we stop guaranteeing student loans, I’m all in. But I’m not going to pay for your education. I’ve already paid for my own. And if you think it’s mean because I refuse to give you my money to release you from the consequences of your own decisions, then I guess I’m going to have to go through life knowing that you think I’m mean, and you’re going to have to go through life paying back what you owe.
What about all the entrepreneurs that risked everything and failed ?
Or the ones that are grinding it out, trying to build a business ? You know, the ones that create more than 60 pct of the new jobs in this country.
The more successful they are, the more you hate them?
Take their money so they can't invest in other founders? Or invest in causes they believe in ?
And the ones that fail and get to deduct 3k a year of their losses ? Or went for it and are broke and might never see enough income to offset those losses ? You don't care if they go broke ?
10 pct of the people in this country are entrepreneurs that have started a business.
You ever try to help them ?
There are plenty of discussions to be had about income inequality. About helping people who are struggling economically.
I've talked about a lot of them in my timeline.
But in reality, saying "Eat the rich" will end up helping no one except maybe politicians trying to raise money. And probably hurt those in need, as more money is spent playing politics then helping
Wealth tax. Unearned income tax. Show me the multi year behavioral analysis, as opposed to simple models, that show more jobs, higher wages and personal wealth will be created for those who need it. I'd love to read them
Ideology is not a strategy. Nor is it a plan that has lasting impact on people who need help
And so you know.
I'm not a believer in trickle down. It's a joke.
I am a believer in trickle up. Where we do all we can get to get appreciable assets and higher wages into the hands of people who have to live paycheck to paycheck. I've said before I think raising the federal minimum wage to $20 is smart. When I heard people who worked for a company I invested in (but didn't run) needed government assistance, I made sure they all got raises. It was embarrassing to me that we didn't pay enough. I've made, or helped make, at least a thousand millionaires. And I'll keep working to increase that number
And that's the point.
The best path to help more people is to work with the people that can help more people.
If you demonize business people , you just make it harder for them to help anyone.
I'm not saying there aren't greedy, blood sucking business people that will do anything for a dollar.
But they are a small minority. Most entrepreneurs realize they are blessed. They want to find ways to help. They think they can use the same skills that built their business to help people.
And they can. They can hire more. They can give raises. They can educate. And they do all these things to help.
I've sat with Democrats and Republicans, incumbents and candidates, and asked them why they aren't meeting with businesses that make and sell the products that have become unaffordable, and asking them what can be done to reduce prices.
I do this continuously regarding healthcare. It's easy to see where the friction and increased pricing is coming from. Why (the politicians ) aren't you meeting with them and asking them to change ? Offering to support those that do raise wages, lower prices , improve benefits. Politicians just won't do it. They prefer the donations.
I did shark tank for 15 years purely to show people they can start small, grow their businesses, and help not only themselves, but their employees and their communities as well. And thats exactly what has happened.
Demonizing those that have success is counterproductive to every benefit you want to help bring to people.
RE: The Reflecting Pool
Let's review a few undeniable, irrefutable facts about this subject:
1. The Reflecting Pool on the National Mall has been a leaking, algae-overgrown mess for years.
2. Having a national monument in such disrepair reflects poorly on our nation.
3. President Trump saw these problems and decided America deserved better for our 250th Birthday, and has been trying to resolve those problems in time for July 4th.
4. Democrats everywhere want the repair efforts to fail.
*******************
These are FACTS people, not my opinion.
FACTS.
So what logical conclusion do all these facts lead to?
Simple.
***Democrats would rather see the United States of America fail than see President Donald J. Trump succeed.***
Democrats are not patriots. They do not care about our nation or our national pride.
They only care about power, and to achieve power they would destroy our nation if that was what they deemed necessary.
It's basically the same ethos that caused them to burn down our cities in 2020 rather than see Trump win a second term.
I really do not see how it is possible to coexist with these people unless they change.
