Iraq's Christians have been reduced from 1.5 million before the Iraq War to < 200,000 today.

Yet they celebrate His cross with resilience.

I would be hesitant to say that the Syriac Orthodox Church has adopted Aramaeanism. There are bishops currently and historically that espouse it, but inversely there has been bishops currently and historically that have espoused Assyrianism as well.

As a synod, however, there has been no one side in the Aramaean vs Assyrian discussion that the Church has officially taken.

Dear Lord, another "whataboutIsrael" argument.
If you have such high conviction about reporting on the decreasing Christian population there, then go ahead, do so.

But since I am an Assyrian Christian from Iraq, my focus is on Mesopotamia. That's why, if you noticed, I did not mention the 1st century churches in Turkey that are all over the book of Acts and the Epistles, but rather I specifically mentioned Edessa, Nisibis, Seleucia-Ctesiphon, Kirkuk, etc. all of which are in and around Mesopotamia. I used the Gulf States as a counter to those as they historically had very little Christian presence.

Why is it that "whataboutism" regarding Israel and Palestine always rears its head whenever it is not mentioned?

Who would have ever imagined that Iraq and Turkey would have so much less (in percentage) Christian population than Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, etc.

cities in Turkey and Iraq were foundations of Mesopotamian Christianity through cities like Urhai (Edessa), Nisibis, Nohadra (Dohuk), Kirkuk, Seleucia-Ctesiphon, etc. etc.
