Hi @IrishRail I’m trying to book a train from Cork to Dublin on Sunday morning 19th of July
Website has been showing as sold out for months.
Do you mind checking if there is any availability?
Thanks
Ireland has the second highest electricity prices in the world.
And today electricity prices are going up again.
One million households will pay up to €300 more for annual energy bills as costs rise from today.

The government is this week considering raising petrol and diesel costs to €2.10.
This is 100% wrong given that Ireland is already one of the most expensive countries in the EU.

"We're not Switzerland": Taoiseach Micheál Martin shoots down the idea of any sort of referendum on the Triple Lock, saying that under Ireland's political system, politicians can change the policy "if that is our wish", because "we're democratically elected."
I will never not be amazed how often the heads of this government talk about disinformation when they are the biggest purveyors of it. Off the top of my head they lied ahead of the last election about house completion figures, lied about income tax cuts if reelected and most recently now proven liars over the 3 day wait safeguard. Its beyond belief that they get away with it.
The simple fact is that if you bring to your society lots of people from countries where beheadings are normal, you will get more beheadings. See also: Female Genital Mutilation, sexual assault, etc. This is a policy choice. By politicians. Who must bear responsibility.
Their favourite football team was formed by a staunch member of the Orange order (John Houlding)
Hope the Irish lads are whistling along during this parade outside the ground, knowing their club hates them 😅
Should have been Everton fans 👍🏻
Water is wet
JFK’s dead
Paint dries
Donald Trump’s an orange weirdo
Manchester Airport Terminal 3 is hell on earth
Cork is a kip
Piers Morgan has tits
A few more things the world already knew, just like the tweet attached
The outrage and outcry from not just fans, but journalists, at Bruno Fernandes winning the FWA POTY is amusing
It’s that deep rooted ABU hatred rearing its head, publicly, unashamedly
You know what, we might just be back.
So let me get this straight, lads.
You’re saying you voted confidence in a party and a government that you clearly have no confidence in whatsoever.
Brilliant. Truly inspiring stuff.
There’s something oddly comforting in knowing we’re represented by politicians who can look their voters in the eye, make promises, and then casually vote against them the moment the party whip cracks.
Principles? Optional.
Backbone? Negotiable.
But sure look, why stand by what you told the people who elected you when it’s far easier to nod along, keep the seat warm, and toe the party line.
The day after they voted confidence in their parties and the Irish government, Albert Dolan, James O’Connor and Ryan O’Meara, all of Fianna Fáil release a statement trying to distance themselves from their own party and the actions of government!
These lads must think we’re actual idiots!
The same day they signed off on a €20,000 pay rise for the director of RTE!
Folks, this is a regular thing! Are your eyes opening now? 🇮🇪
If these 7 independent TD’s had voted against the government yesterday the count would have been 85 - 85 so the deciding vote would have rested with the Ceann Comhairle Verona Murphy, who is also an independent.
The Power rested with these so called Independent TD’s they should have represented our voices, but they didn’t!
