One of the tricks of the devil is to tell you that your pain requires a compassion at the level of compromising of virtue.
No it doesn't.
All humans face pain, don't be so presumptuous. The degrees are different, but we only know what we know, and that is the story we find ourselves in.
Our Lord tells us that pain is a path to glory.
Become a warrior right now! Turn in to the pain. Face it. Confront it. Conquer it. Stop letting weak-kneed people tell you why you should be aggrieved. DIE TO YOURSELF. This is key. Put yourself on the Cross. And He will lift you up. It will hurt, it will burn, but you will resurrect in glory.

We live as if life were never enough. We rush to produce, to prove ourselves, to keep up. But the Gospel teaches us that knowing how to stop is an act of trust that we must learn to perform. Life does not always depend on what we do, but also in knowing how to let go of what we have been able to do. #GeneralAudience
Christ alone satisfies man’s deepest hunger and thirst, the hunger and thirst for truth and love. Christ alone feeds man with the Heavenly Bread of His very Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity, healing hearts wounded by sin and inflaming them with divine truth and love.
Come, Holy Spirit, come!
Heal our wounds,
our strength renew;
On our dryness pour your dew;
Wash the stains of guilt away:
Bend the stubborn heart and will;
Melt the frozen, warm the chill;
Guide the steps that go astray.
Happy Feast of St. Norbert! Today is a joyful reminder of the holy life our founder lived. His love for the truth, his devotion to the Blessed Sacrament, and his zeal continue to inspire me every day. Sancti Norberti, ora pro nobis! 🕊️

Faith is above all a response to a gaze of love. The greatest mistake we can make as Christians is, in the words of Saint Augustine, “to presume that the grace of Christ consists in His example and not in the gift of His person.”
Pope John Paul II was shot on this day, May 13, in 1981, in St. Peter’s Square. In a powerful witness to the Gospel, he later forgave his would-be assassin, Mehmet Ali Ağca, even visiting him in prison to offer mercy and reconciliation.
We pull up to Mass today and it’s packed. I ask my wife why? Is it a big feast day or something?
No, she says, it’s because of Mother’s Day.
Of course.
Mom’s all around the country woke up today and their families asked what they wanted to do…and they answered go to Church.
And I was just immediately brought to tears.
How much we’ve failed as men over the last 50 years.
How many mom’s, despite the weakness of us men, have been the spiritual bedrocks of their families. How souls have been saved by the prayers of their mother. You have carried our Church through these past decades. How indebted we all are to you.
Happy Mother’s Day.
Mary our Mother - thank you.
White smoke! The 133 Cardinal electors gathered in the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel have elected the new Pope. He will appear soon at the central window of St. Peter’s Basilica.
