@LNRailway Thanks, Leah. I bought it directly from LNR on your website, so will buy my ticket to Stafford with XC and then put a claim in with LNR after and see where I get. Thanks for looking into this and explaining the options to me.
@LNRailway Hi. I have a ticket marked "LNR/WMR OFR ONLY" for SOT to EUS on 11 July. I understand you're not running any CRE to STA via SOT trains due to the strike. Will there be an arrangement with Cross Country so I can use my ticket with them to get to STA for the connection?
@LNRailway Thanks, Leah. The ticket only cost £10 (thanks for that- bargain!) so if I got a refund from you, I'd get that back but would then have to pay XC £8 to get to STA and then pay you £43.20 for a new ticket to get to EUS which seems mad to me. From a tenner to over £50.
@LNRailway Hello. Any idea why the Stafford to Crewe trains aren't running at their usual xx:43 time? Is it a today only thing or a timetable change? I'm travelling at 19:21 from RGL to SOT and looks like it's going to take an extra 46 minutes tonight.
Overall, 23.5% of my attempted train journeys have resulted in me getting to the destination on time.
The delays, totalling 1,379 minutes, can also be described as 22 hours and 59 minutes, or alternatively as an absolute fucking disgrace.
Will 2026 be better? Doubt it.
I got on (or tried to get on...) 200 trains in 2025.
I missed 15 trains as my previous trains were late.
8 got me to my destination early.
17 were cancelled.
47 got me to my destination on time.
113 arrived at my destination late.
@CityClucker I'm on the train. It's just left Stafford, so hopefully it will get to Atherstone in 30 minutes or so. I hope you manage to get a service to where you need to. All the best.
Hi @WestMidRailway. I'm at Stafford, trying to get to Rugeley TV or Town. Avanti staff have told me about the shed blocking the line, so no trains. They also say no replacement buses will be ordered. Can you tell me my options, please? I'd like to get home. Thanks.
@CityClucker One train has just left Stafford but isn't stopping until Rugby. I'm expecting one in a few minutes which looks like it's stopping at Atherstone just after 6:30pm. Disclaimer I'm just a random bloke trying to get home and so can't guarantee my info is correct but good luck
