There have been reports of a wave of WhatsApp accounts being taken over in Zimbabwe, the Minister of ICT even put out a statement that the government is investigating.

Some users even reported that they had 2FA turned on and they still lost their accounts, particularly Business Accounts. Has this happen to you, or someone you know?

There’s a certain mindset that I’ve noticed in many older Zimbabwean business owners. It’s like they feel they’ve done you a favour at great cost to themselves by giving you a job or work.

They consider themselves the “father” of everyone that works for them, and they are genuinely offended by any complaints. They can’t even fathom the idea of anyone disagreeing with them.

Well now that I know you’re trolling, this is obviously not a real conversation.

We may as well talk about your methods. Do you have a template? My guess is that you focus on an accusation you can reply with. A name to call them is needed. Something close enough to almost reasonable, but also far enough to obviously to be frustrating. Entitled is good I suppose, it works in so many situations. But also, like if someone is complaining about service delivery, you could call them elitist because people in rural areas are not complaining. Stuff like that, right?

I don’t think they’ll ever see things any different. They actually think everyone else is an idiot, remember they had to fight and stubbornly follow their dreams for them to be successful. They can’t automatically just switch off the stubbornness now.
They’ll go down swinging with their ship because of it.
