Unforgettable 😈
On this day in 1995, Reggie Miller shocked The Garden by scoring 8 points in 9 seconds to beat the Knicks 107-105 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Semantics lesson for ADs/social media managers with today's snow
Canceled: event WILL NOT be rescheduled
Postponed: event MIGHT/WILL be rescheduled
I've seen multiple "we're canceled, working on a reschedule date" posts (if you're rescheduling it, it's not canceled).
I was a senior in high school watching this game on TV with my dad. I said, “This is the luckiest play I’ve ever seen.”
When I got to the Steelers 5 years later I found out it wasn’t luck. Franco practiced with that effort and hustle every single play, every day!
We may have taken the World Series in 1975 but Luis Tiant shut us out in Game 1 and threw another complete game victory in Game 4. He meant so much to the Red Sox organization, baseball certainly lost another icon. My condolences to his family and the Boston fans.
Today is a very sad day. My friend and teammate , Luis Tiant, passed away. A Big game pitcher, a funny genuine guy who loved his family and baseball. I miss him already….RIP my friend.
“I can’t say that I was a big Rush fan before… But I’m a Rush fan now!”
