My son was at odds with the political stances of the pastors so any discussion at home is minimized. On the good side it means I am following less of the garbage.
And thanks, I miss you as well.
@johnbond7776 Wendy practices the worship music we are familiar with from Gateway. That means I am reminded of the worship and fellowship. "Praise the lord oh my soul" upsets me.
@johnbond7776 A bigger hit for us was a break with the church we attended. Jesse (son) felt called to the ministry but a difference with the pastors led to his dismissal and I tried to hang in there to help the church but this busy ness in PA put me in the outs with them.
@johnbond7776 So my ministry is helping Wendy as she keeps Mom's home functioning and we get her to church. We're also her main source of a decent diet. It seems to be wearing us out.
I occasionally think of a walk to RFL but I usually excuse laziness because I'm "resting".
@johnbond7776 As for ministry I spend most of my time traveling to PA to help Wendy's mom. She is showing her age (94) and can no longer drive. We're usually here Friday through Sunday with Thursday spent getting ready to come out here.
@johnbond7776 Sorry for the slow reply. Most of my engagement on X is the news. You're the only individual I share personal comments with and most notifications are junk.
Republican NJ Assemblywoman Dawn Fantasia BLASTS Democrats for trying to pass a laws that target federal agents and interfere with immigration law.
“For the love of God and all that is good. Can you differentiate between the fact that we don't make laws that control the federal government?!... My fifth-grade middle school English student would get that!"
@Bennieeexyz I knew a guy in college who spent most of the semester stoned (strong smell constantly from his room). He would then cram, make a deal with the prof and get an A when he aced the final.
@SouthernMB82@stabmarine Similar occurance: a older loving woman was in the car with me when I turned into a neighborhood with several black pedestrians and she immediately locked the car doors. I was shocked to see such out of character behavior. And she was annoyed when I unlocked the doors.
@_PraveenRangu_@wolfofx Thanks for explaining it. I never dreamed of skipping class and can't understand why someone would pay for an education and skip half the classes.
"Bitchin' Betty" is the voice fighter pilots hear in their cockpit.
Leslie Shook is the real person whose voice has been used for over 20 years as the cockpit warning system in the F/A-18 Hornet and Super Hornet fighter jets.
The nickname originated in the 1970s–1980s with early digitized voice systems (the very first digitized one was actress Kim Crow's voice in jets like the F-15 and F-16). Different aircraft have used different recordings
A longtime Boeing (formerly McDonnell Douglas) employee, Shook accidentally became the voice for additional alerts needed in the F/A-18 when original recordings from the F-15 couldn't be fully reused. Her clear, commanding voice has delivered critical warnings like "Pull up!" or "Altitude!" to pilots, helping save lives during emergencies. She retired in 2016, but her recordings continue to be used in the aircraft.
@JeepPrairie@tspooky@rs_maga@TheDemocrats I'll believe some sincerity when at least 1 preparator, preferably Republican, goes to jail. Like Lord of the rings: a conservative should know better.
