@danroan Before *any, any, any* of this chat from Arsenal Football Club, they should tread really, really carefully around the Thomas Partey case. We're watching
@unherd@Will___lloyd The same writer of that weird Rashford piece. Working class men who've made their fortune in football and don't 'know their place' seem to be so threatening to some people.
And it's Alli, not Ali.π₯΄
@FootballCliches Alan Hutton brought back 'Quality Street' about half an hour into Everton v Leeds on Five Live. He gave a nodding glance when he said it - almost like he knew the phrase had received Cliches approval...
@FootballCliches The mild buzz of hearing a commentator from the Middle East or South America pronouncing names like 'Konchesky' or 'Hibbert'.
And of course the influx of GOOOOOOOOOAL messages on the chat box at the very moment your stream has dropped out.
@bglendenning ...the Club's now in a weak financial position, and probably missed out on a window of opp. to jump into the big 6. Either way, I thought the fans played a genuinely big role in last night's win, so would be a shame for "Everton fans" to be a subject of derision in the next podππΌ
@bglendenning I don't think nuance is the name of the game for a late night Twitter session, but take a look at Brands' interview when he joined the club in 2018. There's a sense that the man with football expertise was sidelined by a man with v deep pockets but zero football knowledge.
@FootballCliches Arctic Monkeys' No. 1 Party Anthem.
'Collar popped like Cantona', or 'collar popped like antenna'? Eight years on I genuinely still don't know the answer to this!
