Couple of thoughts in response to this.🧵
First, it's a terrible photo of the wildflower meadow. The trimmed verges aren't shown, the flowers have gone to seed and are bent from a month of rain and wind.

There is a not enough public transport, or civic amenities to argue for this rent, They will break Dublin, the indefatigable joy of its people and history of creatives is what makes it breathe we don't have a Louvre, A Vatican , A Doges Palais , no affordable city no us.

Build to Rent
Built to steal the life & future from our younger generations
Facilitated by Govts tax breaks for investor funds & state policy to NOT build affordable homes

Housing policy failure would impact on every part of our economy & society
Schools cannot get teachers because of lack of housing
An autism class supposed to open last month is lying empty as a teacher cannot be found.
Need emergency action now

The country is broken.
It's broken:
-we have the highest level of homelessness since the foundation of the state
-renters living in fear
-A generation who can't get the most basic need of a home of their own
-Youth emigrating as they see no future
A Republic?
