Even when they were giving their best on the pitch, with outstanding performances, there was never an eruption of Xavi-stans, Iniesta-sexuals or even Messi FC amongst Culers. The three occupied the first three positions of the Ballon d'Or ranking that year, but the fans were still united and no division whatsoever existed.

Even after Messi won the award, the team and fans were still united and giving their best. Fast forward to today, I doubt there will be that kind of unity if Barcelona players like Raphinha and Yamal happen to lead the race for the award in 2027, because of the division currently going on among the fanbase.

Makes no sense to me that these stans and FC groups behave this way in a team that needs every player to give their best.
