In line with the current realities in the country and commitment of our administration to ameliorate the effects of removal of fuel subsidy on the well-being of the good people of Ogun State, we have approved the following measures for immediate implementation:

1. Cash palliative of N10,000 for each public servant including pensioners to enable workers to cope with the economic shocks occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy for 3 months in the first instance with effect from July 2023.

2. Approval of hazard allowance for all health and medical personnel in the State.

3. Approval of peculiar allowance for public servants in the State.

4. Immediate release of Letters of Promotion in respect of 2021 and 2022.

5. Payment of March and April 2023 leave bonuses for public servants in the State.

6. Immediate cash-backing for the quarterly payment of gratuities to pensioners.

7. All our Ministries, Departments and Agencies are to work out modalities of ensuring that 20% of their staff strengths are off-duty daily to ease the effect of the recent increase in fuel price among public servants.

8. Commencement of food palliatives to the vulnerable (rice, garri, beans, maize etc).

9. Furthermore, Gateway Trading Company has been directed to ensure the establishment of distribution outlets across the state, while items must be sold at the rate obtainable before the fuel price increase.

10. Also, fertilizers and other farm inputs are to be supplied to farmers at subsidized and controlled prices.

11. Other measures include the commencement of conversion of State Mass Transit buses to CNG including staff buses and current public transportation buses in circulation to reduce the cost of transportation by charging rates comparable to what was obtained before deregulation.

12. Immediate Road Infrastructure Intervention, with all the local governments working with Community Development Associations and Community Leaders to submit three roads that require immediate intervention as part of the palliative programmes and support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises through Special Schemes to boost production capacity and employment generation.

Our engagement with leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) continued in Ijebu North-East Local Government Area, where we met with our party stakeholders to discuss unity, reconciliation and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

We made it clear that every member of our party has an important role to play in the journey ahead. We must continue to reach out to those who may have been aggrieved by the outcome of our recent primaries, address genuine concerns and bring everyone together as one united progressive family.

As we consolidate our structures across the local government, we charged our leaders and members to remain focused, accommodate one another and continue engaging our people on the strength of our record in government.

We met with leaders, executives and stakeholders of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area as part of our ongoing engagements to strengthen our party and deepen unity within our ranks.

At the meeting, we directed the immediate establishment of a reconciliation committee, headed by Chief Olu Okuboyejo, with our former Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga, state commissioners and other stakeholders as members. The committee will reach out to members who may still be aggrieved following our recent party primaries, listen to their concerns and ensure that everyone is fully carried along.

We also directed that the reconciliation process be extended to the ward level. With 161 polling units in Ijebu-Ode, we emphasised the importance of grassroots mobilisation, unity and inclusiveness as we continue to strengthen our party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

We rounded off our engagements with party leaders and stakeholders with a meeting of our All Progressives Congress (APC) family in Odogbolu Local Government Area.

Our message was centred on unity, reconciliation and the need to further strengthen our party from the wards and polling units upward. As we prepare for the 2027 general elections, we cannot afford to leave anyone behind. Those who contested our party primaries remain valued members of the APC, and we will continue to engage and reconcile everyone while also welcoming new members who have chosen to join our progressive family.

We urged our leaders and members in Odogbolu to intensify grassroots mobilisation and remain focused on issue-based engagement, drawing on the record of our administration and the progress we have collectively achieved across Ogun State.

We appreciate the warm reception and reaffirm our commitment to working with the people of Odogbolu as we continue to deliver development and strengthen our party for the journey ahead.

Today, we officially received members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from across Ogun West Senatorial District into our great party, the All Progressives Congress (@OfficialAPCNg), as they formally declared their decision to join the progressive family and work with us towards the success of our party in the 2027 general elections.

The new members were drawn from all the local government areas of Ogun West, further broadening the strength and reach of our party across the senatorial district. We also welcomed the State Legal Adviser of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), who formally joined the APC during the event.

Alongside our State Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi; our governorship candidate, @Sen_AdeolaYAYI, CON, FCA; his running mate, Alhaja Kudirat Abiodun Adegunwa-Balogun; and other leaders and stakeholders of our party, we warmly welcomed our new members and assured them that they are now fully part of the APC family.

Today, we honour a distinguished mother of the nation, an accomplished public servant and a remarkable pride to womanhood whose life has been defined by compassion, service and an unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of women, children, young people and the vulnerable in our society.

We particularly celebrate your steadfast support for your dear husband, our President and leader, His Excellency, @officialABAT, GCFR. Through the different chapters of his public service and leadership journey, you have remained a dependable pillar of strength and support while also building an admirable legacy of service in your own right.

Your dedication to humanitarian causes and the empowerment of Nigerians continues to complement the efforts of the Federal Government towards building a more inclusive and prosperous nation. We are proud of the dignity, grace and sense of purpose with which you discharge your responsibilities as our First Lady.

We have signed the Ogun State Education and Skills Trust Fund Bill into law, establishing a sustainable funding framework to support school infrastructure, bursaries, teacher development, vocational training and the modernisation of our traditional apprenticeship system.

With more than 9,000 young people already trained in various vocations, we remain committed to expanding access to quality education, employment opportunities, entrepreneurship and self-reliance across Ogun State.

We have signed the Ogun State Education and Skills Trust Fund Bill into law, establishing a sustainable framework for strengthening the funding, administration and development of education and skills acquisition across our state.

The Trust Fund will provide an additional source of financing beyond regular budgetary allocations, supporting critical areas such as school infrastructure, bursaries, teacher development, facility maintenance and other initiatives aimed at improving educational outcomes.

The law also covers informal education, vocational training and the re-engineering of the traditional apprenticeship system. Having already trained more than 9,000 young people in various vocations, we will continue to expand access to practical skills that promote employment, entrepreneurship and self-reliance.

We recognise that the government cannot fund education alone. We therefore welcome stronger participation from the private sector and other stakeholders as we work together to preserve Ogun State’s position as Nigeria’s leading destination for quality education and human-capital development.

Yesterday, we formally inaugurated the Ogun State All Progressives Congress Campaign Council at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, marking another important step in our preparations for the 2027 general elections. The event brought together our national leader, Aremo Olusegun Osoba; our governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, YAYI, CON, FCA; his running mate, Alhaja Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun; the State Chairman of our party, Chief Yemi Sanusi; and other distinguished party leaders and stakeholders.

We charged members of the Campaign Council to discharge their responsibilities with unity, discipline and dedication by mobilising effectively across our 20 local government areas and 236 wards. Every member of our political family, whether appointed to the council or not, has an important role to play in securing a resounding victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Senator Adeola and all APC candidates in 2027.

Our visit to the Remo Traditional Council alongside our governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, YAYI, CON, FCA; his running mate, Alhaja Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun; and other APC leaders provided an opportunity to appreciate His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, and other royal fathers for their steadfast support since 2019.

We formally presented Senator Adeola as a competent and experienced successor who will build upon our achievements and sustain the progress recorded across Ogun State.

We thank the Akarigbo and other monarchs for their warm reception and special prayers for Senator Adeola and his running mate. We remain confident that Ogun State will continue to advance through purposeful leadership and continuity.

Today, we inaugurated the Ogun State @OfficialAPCNg Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections and directed members to immediately commence consultations, grassroots mobilisation and sustained engagement across our 20 local government areas, 236 wards and polling units.

Our collective responsibility is to secure a decisive victory for President @officialABAT, GCFR; our governorship candidate, Senator @Sen_AdeolaYAYI, CON, FCA; his running mate, Alhaja Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun; and all APC candidates.

We emphasised that electoral victory requires deliberate preparation, organisation, vigilance and continuous engagement with the people. Our campaign will therefore be issue-based, peaceful and driven by our achievements and credible vision for Ogun State.

Membership of the Campaign Council is a call to service, not a decorative title. Those who were not appointed also remain valuable members of our political family and must participate actively at every level.

We appreciate our President, our National Leader, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, and all party leaders and stakeholders for their leadership and commitment. Let us speak with one voice, work with one purpose and march together towards an overwhelming APC victory in 2027.

Yesterday, we joined the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, and other distinguished guests in Ilorin to witness the turbaning of our dear brother and colleague, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, as the Sardauna of Ilorin.

We warmly congratulate him on this well-deserved honour, which reflects his exemplary leadership, selfless service and commitment to the development of Kwara State and the Ilorin Emirate.

We pray that Almighty Allah grants him continued wisdom, strength and good health as he undertakes the responsibilities of this revered title.
