Would be interesting to see if Spurs ever go small. Kornet is a bit of a disaster and the Spurs have the personnel to match the Knicks size on the Wings. They’ve put Johnson on KAT plenty so I don’t know why they wouldn’t try it.
All time gimmick and story. Match of the year to finish it. Incredible closure with Gables promo. Gave two massively underrated performers a chance to shine. Type of story and moment you explain when people ask “why” about wrestling. Will tell my children about El Grande.
When wrestling is on fire it’s just a beautiful thing. Listen to this crowd.
Watched the match. Unbelievable. Both men - and that crowd - were outstanding.
Match of the year. Entrance of the year. Feud of the year.
After that whole ethical basketball BS Wemby has turned into quite the flopper and the average fan is turning on him game by game these playoffs because of it
Can’t believe I’m gonna say this. The Thunder are getting an atrocious whistle. Like, game changingly bad right now. How do you miss Fox being out of bounds? This is pretty brutal from Davis and crew
Kenrich Williams minutes in a game 7 I get they’re short handed but man that feels like a mistake when the Spurs basically have their starters out there
Cleveland building a roster around two guys who’ve been on great teams but never got it done showing itself. Harden has an endless list of flops. Rudy took a LOT of unfair blame for those Jazz squads. Mitchell scores like crazy in the postseason but loses a whole lot
The Knicks have been on a very nice, very evil winning streak ever since WWE’s Danhausen un-cursed them. Here’s how wrestling and basketball are intertwining. https://t.co/cNODmsx6VN
Spurs' De'Aaron Fox is expected to miss his second consecutive contest in Game 2 tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a right high ankle sprain, sources tell ESPN.
Not that any of this is about the wolves, but it remains baffling to me how anyone at the deadline thought some marginal moves plus the power of continuity was enough to compete with these teams.
It always had to be a Giannis level swing if they were going to do it this year.
Chet on Champagnie is a weird matchup. Doesn’t really allow him to roam effectively because he’s such an elite shooter. So he’s either stuck contesting, or he’s helping off a 40% 3 pt shooter in the corner.
It’s kind of a miracle Ant was able to have some of the games he did on half a knee against this Spurs team seeing what they’re doing to SGA and that supporting cast tonight.
I still think OKC wins the series. Knock some rust off, it’s a huge step up from Lakers D. Takes a game
