Information Request - Social Media Threat
The OCSO and Okaloosa County School District are are aware of a social media post currently circulating on TikTok and shown below that contains a threatening message directed towards students at Pryor and Bruner Middle Schools.
Our School Resource Officers, Patrol deputies, and Investigations Division are actively working with the School District to identify the individual/individuals responsible for the post and determine its potential credibility.
At this time we are taking the matter seriously and following established investigation protocols.
We are asking anyone with information about this post, the account that created it, or the person responsible to contact the OCSO at 850.651.7400 or @eccsTIPS.
If you have additional screenshots or information that may assist us, please preserve it and provide it to law enforcement.
We understand posts like this can cause concern among students, parents, and our community. Our deputies and investigators are actively working to determine who is behind the post and whether any actual threat exists. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a young child who was located walking in the area of Lake Silver Road and Belmont Drive in Crestview.
The child is able to tell us that his name is “JJ,” but he has been unable to provide any additional information to help us identify him or locate his family.
