Big context windows don’t fix bad RAG.
They hide it. Temporarily.

Typical setup:
• Context: 32k–128k tokens
• Retrieval precision: 75–85%
• Irrelevant tokens in context: 40–60%
• Cost grows ~linear with window size

Hyperbolic retrieval:
• Context: 4k–8k tokens
• Precision: 92–96%
• Noise: <10%
• Same or better answer quality

More context ≠ better grounding.
Better geometry does.

Yeah, I know — every investor and every founder loves to say:
“Just build an MVP fast and raise your round.”
But here’s the thing — I use 10–20 products that followed that path, and I’m not happy with any of them.
Doesn’t matter who built them — Google, OpenAI, Microsoft, Apple, or an indie dev.

I want to build products I actually enjoy using myself.

I allow myself to create something that hundreds of thousands of people will truly need, and something most of them will love from the very first minute they try it.

I’m genuinely happy to build something big, something meaningful, something that helps every single user become better.

Over 14 years in software development — as a system architect — and I still have a love–hate relationship with frontend.

I love it because every change is visible instantly.
I hate it because testing frontend architecture is pure hell — and nearly impossible to automate.

And now we’ve reached that point again — we can’t move forward on the backend until we finish the frontend. Three weeks in, and it’s been painful:
“Write the cases.”
“Define the logic.”
“Document the behavior.”
React Native? Meh. Flutter’s better — but no free devs.
Tailwind? Sure.
Actually, no — let’s rebuild it all in Tamagui. 😅

The only thing keeping me sane is knowing that once this iteration is done, we’ll move to my favorite stage — bringing backend magic into the frontend.

Yes, there will be new challenges and pitfalls, but watching functional updates appear every hour — that’s a kind of joy only builders understand. Especially when you know you’re making something better than anything else out there.
