@British_Airways@British_Airways it has now been >2 months since I submitted a claim for this incident (ref #: 23770109). Haven't heard anything back & no way to check the case status case. Airport staff should have told us that we'd have to cover the expenses of this BA travel delay personally.
@British_Airways the level of disorganization and condescension is incomparable. We received an email that we would be notified IF the funeral would impact our flight, but we did not. After boarding the plane from TIA to LHR, they told us we had to sit on the tarmac for 2 hours
@British_Airways Actually no, they knew as soon as they closed the door to the plane that we had a 2 hour delay before takeoff, locked in the plane. So they could have told us before boarding.
This situation was avoidable with a simple notification and some courtesy. Truthfully a horrendous experience without excuse, and people need to know that they will be left to fend for themselves.
We could have arrived in NY tonight if anyone had been willing to help. We are now told to find a hotel in London tonight on one of the busiest nights following the Queen's funeral, and offered insufficient future reimbursement. Inform your customers so they can help themselves.
@TK_HelpDesk Meanwhile no other airline is offered as an option, or, they say, we have flights in a weeks time - once again you cancelled the original flight but we need to somehow fix this now. @TurkishAirlines this is a disgrace.
@TK_HelpDesk Calling your call center once again is worthless and they want to sell us an entire new ticket otherwise they say they can't do anything. They also told us to go to the ticket counter at Boston but that is closed also.
