In Port au Choix and Hawke’s Bay this morning with PC candidate Andrea Barbour - PC Candidate for St. Barbe - L'Anse aux Meadows.
Andrea Barbour knows this place — she knows the people, the challenges, and the potential of the Northern Peninsula. She’s ready to be a strong, present voice for this region.
For too long, communities like these have been ignored by the Liberals. People are ready for better — better healthcare, lower taxes, and safer communities for all of us.
Great to stop by Gander with Tom Healey to meet the residents at Golden Legion Manor.
After 10 years of Liberal government, life has only gotten harder for seniors. Costs are up, healthcare is worse, and too many are being left behind.
Ask yourself — is your life better than it was 10 years ago?
It’s time for change.
Vote PC — for ALL of us.
Knocking on doors with Andrea Barbour today and the reception was warm everywhere we went.
Signs are going up, and it’s more than just Andrea who ‘luvs it’: people on the Northern Peninsula are ready for change.
The PC Party is ready to deliver better healthcare, lower taxes, and safer communities for ALL of us.
The PC Party will make sure Newfoundland and Labrador’s resources benefit our people: creating good and well-paying jobs for our workers.
It was great to speak with hardworking Newfoundlanders and Labradorians today at the @Trades_NL forum— sharing our plan, and hearing directly from the people who keep this province moving for ALL of us!
For almost 10 years, the @NLCODNL has been calling for an Advocate.
The Liberals promised one… and then never delivered.
When it came to secret bonuses for themselves or shady real estate deals for their friends, the Liberals moved fast. But when it came to people with disabilities? They did nothing.
A PC Government will change that.
We’ll appoint a full-time, independent Advocate for Persons with Disabilities.
We’ll give them the mandate and resources to make sure no one falls through the cracks.
We’ll provide better healthcare for ALL of us!
Great to join @lorilydialove on @OutoftheFogTV today to talk about our PC vision for Newfoundland and Labrador.
From lowering the cost of living, to fixing healthcare, to creating good-paying jobs right here at home — our plan is about building a better future for all of us.
Change is possible, and it starts with a government that will put the people of Newfoundland and Labrador first.
It’s always special coming home to Placentia, the place where I was born and raised. This community shaped who I am today, and it’s where I learned the value of hard work, family, and looking out for your neighbours.
PC Candidate Rhonda Power is a strong voice for her community and will be a dedicated advocate in the House of Assembly.
I know the people of Placentia–St. Mary’s deserve better, and with Rhonda on our PC team, we can deliver the change this province needs. Together, we’ll build a better future for ALL of us.
Too many families in rural Newfoundland and Labrador are living in cell coverage deserts. During the Kingston Fire and other wildfires this summer, people were left unable to reach loved ones, emergency services, or vital healthcare.
A PC Government will invest an additional $3 million every year to expand cellular coverage — prioritizing the communities that need it most, like Carbonear–Trinity–Bay de Verde.
Because your safety, connection, and access to services shouldn’t depend on where you live.
On October 14, vote PC and let’s build a safer, stronger, more connected Newfoundland and Labrador for ALL of us.
For 10 years, the Liberals have promised to support small businesses, but business owners are still waiting.
A PC government has a plan, we’ll start by cutting the Small Business Tax Rate to 1% — a 60% reduction. That means these businesses can reinvest, expand, and hire more workers, creating good-paying jobs right here at home.
We’ll also cut red tape. The Liberals earned an “F” from the @CFIBNL for five years straight. We’ll fix that by cutting unnecessary forms, extending business help desk hours, and proactively work to get applications over the finish line.
Today I joined PC candidate @charlespendercb at Rugged Edge in Corner Brook — an outdoor store that shows how one small business creates ripple effects across an entire community. That’s the kind of growth and opportunity we’ll support in every corner of the province.
A stronger future for small businesses means a stronger future for ALL of us.
We’re just over halfway through the campaign, but the momentum is building every single day—and so is the hope for real change.
At the doors with Hal, the message couldn’t be more clear: people are fed up with this tired Liberal government. They’ve put their own interests first, secret cabinet bonuses and all, while ignoring the people of this province.
It’s time for a government that puts the people of Newfoundland and Labrador first. A PC government that will be for ALL of us.
At DieTrac Technical Institute in Lewisporte today, I reaffirmed our commitment to making life more affordable for all of us.
✅Tuition refunds for graduates who stay, work, and live in our province
✅ Raising the basic personal exemption to $15,000 – the highest in Atlantic Canada. No one will have to pay provincial income tax on the first $15,000 they earn.
✅Permanently lowering the provincial gas tax and cancelling the Liberal government’s planned April 1st increase.
Students and staff here told me they want a government that works for all of us. A PC government will deliver.
In 2016 the Liberals cut Emergency Department hours in Botwood at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Centre in 2016.
Twice they have promised to reopen it.
Twice they have broken that promise.
We will lead where they have failed. We will re-open that Emergency department 24-Hours a day.
Today I released the highlights of our plan for all of us, a plan built around the priorities that you, the people of Newfoundland and Labrador told us were most important to you.
Our PC platform is a plan for Better Healthcare, Lower Taxes, and Safer Communities for ALL of us.
You can read about it here: https://t.co/b29q1dJk7b
A former member of the Liberal government's Churchill Falls Oversight Committee resigned in part because he felt “the independence of the Panel became impaired” and the Committee's work "would not meet the public expectation or need".
He has released a document outlining his concerns with the Liberal deal with Quebec.
Parts of it are highly technical, but it boils down to what we have been saying all along: it appears the Liberals are trying to lock us into another 50-year deal with Quebec, and the people of our province will again lose out financially.
As I have said, based on what we know right now, I could not in good conscience sign the Liberals' deal with Quebec.
I want to continue to develop Churchill Falls, and I want to develop Gull Island. But, there can be no deal without real transparency, and that requires a truly independent review.
If a PC government is elected, I will immediately end the Liberals' sham ‘review’ that they are running with one of their donors - and replace it with a truly independent review. Based on this independent review, I will renegotiate better terms for Newfoundland and Labrador.
Cenovus West White Rose CGS now departed the Argentia Graving Dock and entering the deep water (18m cd) tow channel out to Placentia Bay. The Port thanks Cenovus for helping place Argentia on the world stage as a host to such world class projects. Thank you!
Thank you to the people of St. John’s East, my fellow candidates, and our incredible team of volunteers and supporters.
Though this chapter closes, my commitment to St. John's East and Newfoundland and Labrador remains stronger than ever.
