For almost twelve years, we have had the joy and honor to explore the Destiny universe with you all. Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2.

As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio.

Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to.

We’re proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us.

From the deepest part of our hearts, thank you, and we'll see you in the stars.

we finally did it. master salvation's edge is DONE

it took so long that all emotions left my body, all thoughts, all agency, all sentience, i am a husk, a shell, totally empty

but we did it

i tried so hard to make this blind raid event as fun as i possibly could and while i don't think it was perfect by any means (and losing a ton of our blind players by the end meant that the dynamic was way different) i still hope that on the whole it was a really fun watch for you all

i thought we were gonna do it in 48 hours and that's all i planned for so the fact that it took nearly double that meant we were all super stressed by the end; i don't think i was mentally there at all when we cleared witness because i was so deep down the sleep deprivation rabbithole lmao

still, it was a huge amount of fun and it's something i will no doubt look back on extremely fondly. destiny 2 is EASILY one of the best games out there and there's nothing like it that challenges you in the way that this game does, it's really really damn special

i wanna also say a MASSIVE thank you to @bearki for coming on this raid journey with me from Garden to now; she's been a trooper putting up with my endless challenge masochism lmfao and none of these would have been nearly as fun without her. the rest of my blind teammates are legends in their own right but bearki's been there since the start and i'm really glad for that :)

also wanna say a huge thank you to the non blind players!! we weren't able to maintain our full 6 blind fireteam because people got ill, life got in the way, people got busy etc, but the knowers came in so clutch giving us the best possible experience within the circumstances dealt to us by the universe haha

TLDR: i hope you had fun. i tried my best. i hope it was good enough. 🙏

New quest: Washington DC!

After two years of work, Steph and I have just launched the Creator Economy Caucus in the House of Representatives, a bipartisan group where creators can work alongside lawmakers to ensure legislation is timely and relevant for the Internet age. We've already got ~10 reps on board and we're just getting started.

We'll eventually want to assemble creator advocates from around the country, so if you're interested in helping Washington understand our world, stay tuned here for more info!
