@radeixtok Yeah i got perma banned in 2015 by one of the mods who personally hated me, while I was live streaming legit gameplay. Appeals got nowhere, eventually used a different console and IP address and was able to play again. Their entire moderation team is shady at best.
After years of not listening to the community, making the mod way too inaccessible, and general bad decision making, the throne falls.
Retro Rewind is better in just about every way. It feels like an actual remake of MKWii and addresses many core game issues. Give it a try.
@jaydenihy@tzssv worldwides are where its at nowadays, you gotta get back on the vr grind. rr vr goes up to 1 million, top players are at like 100-120k rn, pro sessions can get super cracked
Since this post got a lot of traction and people asking how to set up Retro Rewind, I made a full installation tutorial. This covers every step from the very beginning and goes into detail on the whole process to make sure you have it working by the end: https://t.co/tyFmiyGwVN

@FawweCXZ Fair point, and the good thing is that the devs would probably be very willing to do something like that for competitive purposes. On the contrary, Bean refused to make any changes the community has requested for years
@SporeRose Yup exactly, and it’s just not convenient or efficient to use console. The WiFi adapter on the Wii and Wii U suck, so connection quality is never great. I’ve had near perfect connectivity with RR on Dolphin, noticeably better experience, even than when NWFC was around
The 2014/2018 Smash controllers don’t have L/R stabilizer bars, which makes official pre-2008 controllers even more rare/desired. Regardless, any official model is miles ahead of 3rd party ones. The new ones for the Switch 2 are wireless and don’t work on Wii/Wii U.
The current state of GCN controllers is quite sad. If you have an official wired Nintendo controller, hold onto it and keep it on good condition. A few years ago the 2018 Smash edition ones could be found for $25, now they’re no less than $90. Supply is diminishing quickly.
