Dark GII Amulet

It's a long story. I was burned by the flames of reality and reborn in the ashes

In 2036, a meteor softly landed off the coast of California and terraformed into an island. People flocked to it and inhabited the place for 3 years until a strange phenomenon occurred there. What happened next? Go check out my book's trailer to find out! https://t.co/BejIQBA6WL

@legogabifilm Remember me?

Mare City Fun Fact #11: Mare City took 4 years to fully develop. In that time, a lot of things made it difficult to accomplish: moving into a new neighborhood, college, the COVID lockdown, having chronic pain from something resolved years later, and much more emotional plight.

Mare City Fun Fact #10: Mare City got a VISUAL UPGRADE! Check it out!

Mare City Fun Fact #9: Other plots that inspired my book include the episode N Men from Jimmy Neutron, The Big Superhero Wish from Fairly Oddparents, and Mermaidman and Barnacle Boy V from Spongebob Squarepants. #nostalgia

[Dark GII Amulet @DarkGii]

Mare City Fun Fact #8: The story was originally going to span 3 months, but I was convinced to let it instead last 3 years so there could be breathing room for the characters.

Mare City Fun Fact #7: The specific superpower one gets is based on two things: The physical state of their body and what they desire deep down. Sometimes people get exactly what they want; sometimes they get something else entirely. What would you want? Let me know below...

[Dark GII Amulet @DarkGii]

Mare City Fun Fact #6: Why a meteor? I got that idea from the premise of Loonatics Unleashed.

[Dark GII Amulet @DarkGii]

Mare City Fun Fact #5: Johnny Iris was NOT supposed to be part of Seymour's group. He was created as a little arrangement that I had with a friend long ago where, if we created OCs based on each other, we'd help one another out on their projects. Only I finished mine first...

Mare City Fun Fact #4: Seymour Adriano and Ella Tristen represent the two halves of my brain: creativity and intelligence. That's what defines their characters and ties into how they have the same powers but specialize in one (Seymour - lightning, Ella - water).

[Dark GII Amulet @DarkGii]

Mare City Fun Fact #3: Blazehawk was originally going to be named Firehawk, but DC beat me to the punch on that. So instead, I combined the name with Blaze from Blaze the Cat. Also, Blazehawk's character is based on the Batman villain Firefly.

[Dark GII Amulet @DarkGii]

Mare City Fun Fact #2: Although it's mainly inspired by the anime and manga My Hero Academia, Mare City originally started as a My Little Pony fanfic. That's why it has MARE in its title. #WritersLife #BookMarketing

[Dark GII Amulet @DarkGii]

Mare City Fun Fact #1: The main protagonist's name, Seymour Adriano, has a double meaning. His first name? His story is meant to make you want to SEE MORE of it. Last name? I had a childhood friend named Adrian; I wanted to immortalize him somehow... #Superhero #SciFi
