“Let me state the obvious:
Antisemitism is always wrong.
Islamophobia is always wrong.
Intentionally killing civilians is always wrong, whether on a beach in Sydney or a beach in Gaza.
Can we not all agree on all of the above? Is that really so hard” - me:

How close is a full-out war between #Israel and #Iran?
I'm generally more cautious in my views, but the recent escalation is very worrying. @trtworld https://t.co/xuTM6ElZFv via @YouTube
Gosh, I really miss Canberra. I don’t know how to articulate it properly. I really miss the city, the people, the coffee, and especially the vibe. Surprisingly, I miss Ramadhan in Canberra. 😭
The last refuge for apologists of Israel’s mass slaughter of Gaza is “But Hamas!”
So let’s be clear here.
An army which shoots children in the head cannot claim moral superiority over Hamas, or practically any other military force on earth
Why is this so hard? If you are concerned about the repression in XJ you should also be concerned about its cognate in Gaza. Ethnic cleansing, cultural erasure or genocide remain ethnic cleansing, cultural erasure or genocide regardless of who is committing them

“Putin said the military operation was needed to protect civilians in eastern Ukraine — a claim the U.S. had predicted he would falsely make to justify an invasion.” ~ sounds so familiar.

This rise also raised another question on the role Indonesia plays within the SEA Region. It is expected that Indonesia plays a bigger role and step up its game within the region and as an ASEAN member. Especially concerning the crisis happening in SEA countries.
Indonesian resilience this year is behind its rise into top ten of the @LowyInstitute#AsiaPowerIndex. What will Indonesia bring next into the Asia Pacific Region, and whether this resilience will boost Indonesian participation within this region are remain to be seen.
"Now is the perfect time for Washington and its allies to woo Indonesia," @benjaminbland writes in @nytimes. "The goal should not be to peel Indonesia away from China but to... help the country become an alternative pole of strength." https://t.co/2VHxEZ1FHB

Was it a “crisis” when there was a 690% surge in unaccompanied minors in Trump’s last nine months in office?
Was it a “crisis” when he used the pandemic to expel 13,000 children?
Instead of debating semantics, media need to better contextualize and explain how we got here.
People is a creature with many persona. Appeal to one of the persona, appeal to the emotion. They will get things done. Either wrong, or right. As long as you catch their attention, via their deepest emotion.
All these shootings incidents made me remember clearly my Propaganda Class with @Dr_JenHunt, who said a long time ago that all these conspiracies have consequences in real life. Sadly, this time, human lives are the consequences.
Disinformation, hoaxes, propaganda, and conspiracies appeal to our emotion. Facts only is insufficient to counter it. We need to stop referring to those narratives when we want to tackle it. We need to really paraphrase the truth in the same way as the fake narratives.
