[TRIGGER WARNING] I'm reaching out to my Twitter friends, especially those in the VTuber community! Has anyone in the past year commissioned ArtByNoir/Noirpunk? I'm wondering if any of the people he accepted for a VTuber 3D background actually received their commissions? I am asking/warning people to be aware of commissioning him, or if you have already been waiting on something, you may want to start disputing it ASAP. I commissioned him back in September of last year and, unfortunately, was given 1 update that entire time. I am a pretty patient and understanding person when it comes to commissions, as long as I'm given updates in between. Noir started my commission on 9/19/2024, and my first and only visual update was 10/30/2024. He messaged me on 1/31/2025, claiming he had updates coming to me that week, but never sent anything more. Now I won't lie, these past few months I've had a lot of things going on, so after that last message with no actual update, I forgot about it for the next few months until going into VGen and seeing that I had a commission still not done that was guaranteed by 3/30/2025. When I noticed it was Noir, I went to look at our DMs to see if I missed an update, and there was nothing. I went to check his social media accounts and noticed his Twitter had been deleted and his Instagram wiped. So on 4/7/2025, I messaged a friend who could contact him, asking if there was an update on the commission. He eventually responded via discord dm, apologizing that he had been busy and was delayed, and that when he woke up he would be sending me an update. He also claimed he didn't mean to scare with the social media accounts being gone and that he was going to be rebranding soon (which I thought was odd, as he is a Twitch Partner and rebranding and taking away social media accounts without any warning to your community is a risky move). But again, I never received anything, and I let almost 2 weeks go by as I did not want to seem annoying before reaching out again. After messaging him again asking for an update and also getting some advice from a fellow artist friend on how to handle a situation like this, they proceeded to take a look on twitter to see if anyone else has had an issue with lack of updates and responses from Noir for commissions and what we found was so much worse. Multiple women who have been involved with Noir have been coming forward about being abused and s/a'd by Noir. I will be quoting the tweets in the comments below, but be warned, they are extremely hard to read. There doesn't seem to be too much traction on these tweets, so I want to share these to spread the word so those who have also commissioned him and are wondering what the hell is going on may see this and be able to start their disputes as well. @TwitchSupport, you guys have hype train emotes by this individual. If anyone else is experiencing this situation with Noir please feel free to DM me and warn others as well.
