@topps I gave my colleagues here at the @petronas_towers this copy of the 2012 AG card. They didn't know it existed. It's fun knowing it lives there now lol
One of the laziest habits in America is daydreaming about what rich people “should” do with their money.
A lot of it isn’t really about charity. It’s about guilt. It’s people looking at Elon’s wealth and basically saying, “Prove you deserve it by giving it away the way I approve of.”
That's what I would call envy wearing a fake halo.
Elon doesn’t have a trillion bucks stuffed in a wallet next to his Costco card. His wealth is mostly tied up in stock, companies, factories, rockets, satellites, payroll, risk, and work. It’s not a magic debit card for everyone else’s wish list.
And here’s the bigger point: you don’t need Elon money to help people.
Paying off a $2 million medical bill? Sure, that takes serious wealth.
Covering $50 or $60 in groceries? Buying someone lunch? Helping a neighbor? Volunteering? Giving quietly when nobody is filming?
You can do that right now.
Charity doesn’t require a billionaire’s bank account. It requires a heart, a little sacrifice, and the willingness to stop using “if I were rich” as an excuse for doing nothing.
Giving only when it costs you nothing isn’t generosity.
Help people because it’s right.
Elon has nothing to do with it.
@johnkonrad@Delta Unless you use their top card(s) for all of your personal and business expenditures, nothing else matters; or buy upper tier tickets with prices no longer based in reality.
@Sneketoshi Of course these are awesome and now you have to sell them for him too. Sorry that you didn't apply and this job found you. Best of luck and let us know where to buy lol. Steve's a gem.
“New data shows that once an Indian CEO is hired at a major company, Americans are immediately pushed out and replaced.”
“There’s a strong correlation between the rise of Indian-born CEOs at major U.S. companies and increased outsourcing activity to India.”
@WilliamWX100 I'd come spend some time and help if you need it. I link work trips together so much that I'm looking to rent in Vietnam part time. Spend a lot of time on that side of earth but haven't been to Thailand yet.
