|| It’s wild that the only characters I’ve been able to get excited about for the SF6 DLC packs have all been guest characters… 😬
But seriously, where the fuck is Vega?!
@BadgerBrxiser “Oh, hey-“ The digimon squints it’s ruby eyes and pauses, searching for their next word. “. . . you.”
Yeah. She didn’t remember Reina by name. She knew who she was. The name just eluded her.
|| I think if I was to write LadyDevimon to be less.. blatantly hostile and evil, I’d probably just make her a big ol cat. Like.. just indifferent to anything that wasn’t directly for her benefit.
Cats are very charming and funny creatures. I like them.
|| Mortal Kombat 2 was… okay.
Not bad.
Some things I liked, some things I didn’t.
I think the coolest thing about the movie was probably seeing them attempt to bring some of the stage locations to life.
|| I’m conflicted.
Took a break from working on my Ogremon. (I’m waited on some stencils I ordered to make the eyes.) So I thought I would work towards making my Rosemon aaaand.. I don’t know if I should make her rose petals out of rubbery polymer clay, or if I should sculpt+
@BadgerBrxiser Magenta might offer a better contrast. Break things up from all the red.
It’s just tough, because I’ve seen both colors used.
Toei typically uses magenta. The Rosemon in Savers, Tri, and Adventure 2020 had purple-ish lips, but in most games it’s a pinkish red.
+firm and very good for holding detail. If I sculpt that in pieces, I can even polish and sand all the edges, to make sure it looks really clean.
Decisions.. decisions..
+to hold shape when thin. Anything I cut with the Xacto knife gets deformed. I can try doing them all in gray and painting it later. That might be a workable solution, but then again.. there’s also the option of just sculpting the outer layer with Apoxie sculpt, which is hard+
I’ll make the jaw out of the same flexible material, but make it longer and thinner, to improve the overall profile and bendability.
With the teeth done ahead of time, they will look sharper and more uniform.
|| Alright. Update.
Going to sculpt a new head entirely. Start almost from scratch, but take my time.
Instead of sculpting the bulk in one go, I’m going to make the teeth and eyes first, let them cure, sand them, clean em up, then on another day sculpt the brow and face.
|| I’m afraid my OCD is getting the best of me. I’m bugging out over a lot of little mistakes I’ve made in my sculpt.
I think I’m going to saw off the horns and resculpt them cleaner. Less curved, sharper. I’ll sculpt them separately from the head and reatach them further from +
