The Club World Cup’s three remaining matches - thankfully, there is no third place game - are being played at the 82,500-capacity MetLife Stadium which will also host the World Cup final next summer. Thanks to FIFA’s controversial dynamic ticketing policy, the prices of the cheapest tickets for Chelsea’s game today have trebled in 48 hours. Tickets which were available for the equivalent of £8 on Sunday are now on sale for £24.

Chelsea have already made almost £60 million in participation and prize money for reaching this stage of the tournament and they can make another £22 million if they win today. Winning the final on Sunday would be worth another £29 million.
