I understand the emotion around a huge penalty decision in a massive game. Football does that to people.
But at some point emotion has to give way to evidence. When freeze frames, angles and clear contact are sitting right in front of us, denying it because it doesn’t suit your team or narrative just kills any honest debate.
What’s even worse is when professionals and pundits, who know the game inside out, deliberately drive a narrative to suit an agenda rather than analyse what’s actually in front of them. That only fuels tribalism and misinformation.
You can debate consistency. You can debate interpretation. But you can’t just ignore unrefutable evidence because it’s inconvenient. Football discussion is far better when honesty matters more than point scoring.
95% - Brighton defender Caitlin Hayes has won 95% her aerial duels in the @BarclaysWSL this season (36/38), the best rate of any player to contest at least 20 in a single campaign in the competition’s history. Warrior.
@BelfColm74@Buthfo Maybe a few more than 10 but an absolutely cracking trip... you might think it's a waste of time but others will disagree 👌🏼
We tend to support the badge as a whole, men's team, women's team or B team... they all wear the same badge on their chest - through the good and bad.
@BelfColm74@Buthfo My daughter has travelled to Oslo, Lithuania, Madrid supporting the Women's team, some places she probably would never have visited.
She's made friendships for life attending the games, as have I & she loves watching the games regardless of the result.
But, aye, its pointless.
Everything was stacked in their favour:
They had a fully fit squad
They were at home
They didn’t play in midweek
The pens were taken at their end
… and we still turned them over. YAAAAAAS - GET IN THERE!!! 🍀🇮🇪

How can a club this size be so incompetent? Stocking SWPL numbers is the bare minimum but Celtic would rather build barriers than bridges for fans across the board. Starting to make it a chore for fans to show loyalty. The 'club for all' mantra is wearing thin.
Sort it out.
We’re told we’re a club for all but at the doors of the Superstore, that promise stops. Shuffling kids off to a website for SWPL lettering & capping names at 8 characters is just a slap in the face. It’s 2026 ans yet we’re moving backwards. The women’s team deserves a legacy.
Can whatever happens in the Celtic dressing room at half time vs Rangers (or any team for that matter) be formally investigated?
Because no matter how much we play teams off the park first half, we all know exactly what’s coming in the second half.
SOULLESS.
Have we actually managed to string more than 5 passes together? In all seriousness.
I thought the Dundee Utd game was the worst Celtic performance I had witnessed but THIS is topping it.
7 years ago I remember writing this tweet and last night I got to see #InsideNo9StageFright at the Edinburgh Playhouse.
Words can't even describe how utterly captivating and clever it was. Poignant, hilarious, proper scary and a true privilege to watch.

'Bernie Clifton's Dressing Room' Totally captivating, funny, emotional, mesmerising characterisation and left me with goosebumps at the end. I hope one day #InsideNo9 gets the praise it so rightly deserves.

Kelly Clark is Celtic through and through.
A captain who knows the badge, the club, and what it means to fight for it. 🍀
When Martin O’Neill walked back into that dugout, it wasn’t just nostalgia, it was my childhood rushing back. My Grandad beside me, the cups of tea, biscuits, Celtic on the screen. Football isn’t just a game...it’s the memories of people no longer with us & the memories made 🍀
