@mrjamesob Boris : it wasn’t possible to follow the rules at all times in Downing Street.
Boris speaking to parliament : all rules were followed at all times.
I’m not sure how much clearer it needs to be 🤷♂️
@SkyNews He said himself that it wasn’t always possible to follow the rules/guidelines. He told parliament that all rules were followed at all times. This isn’t hard to see he misled
@martbo2906@GaryLineker The words were factual. It’s the right wing media getting its knickers in a twist that’s misinterpreted the whole affair. Sadly, he could have quoted some of the UK media in n the 1930’s using similar abhorrent language in support of fascism
I’ve worked for the BBC for 35 yrs and made 100s of live broadcasts.
I believe the government is pursuing an immeasurably cruel policy directed at the most vulnerable people in language that is not dissimilar to that used by Germany in the '30s.
I wait to hear from Tim Davie.
Think very hard about attempting to make @campbellclaret look foolish. He will jump down your gullet, feet first, then gallop upon the guts
This was a brilliantly terse response, and totally deserved by a eunuch'd BBC enabler
@darrengrimes I’m fairly sure Lineker didn’t ask for a human to be stripped and abused? In fact, he just pointed out the nasty language that’s being put out in regards to vulnerable humans
I wonder whether the BBC has created a situation where anyone prepared to present MOTD tomorrow immediately becomes a de facto supporter of legislation currently being cheered to the rafters by overtly racist, far right leaders across the rest of Europe…
