Day after being unable to secure an US visa appointment, students from Hyderabad have started an online petition urging the Consulate to open additional visa slots. They have also written to the union foreign minister.

Miss Jennifer, 100s of students with a history of b1/b2 visa are not able to schedule our f1 Visa appointments. This has been verified as a technical glitch by the customer service agents. There’s @Harvard@Cornell@Columbia incoming students .
In a welcome move, India has cut its contribution to the UN.
For the UN powers to not recognise the most populous country in the world means that we should not waste our time and money with this body.
India must also refuse to be part of UN peace keeping missions. https://t.co/3lbyCirhe4

Hi everyone, we need your help!
We’re testing a new platform called “Spotlights”. I would appreciate you taking two minutes to watch this video and provide feedback.
Spotlights is an online platform and a community that helps you easily find the best local businesses in a given niche.
Here is how it works:
1. Search spotlights (like hot chicken, drywall repair, hair colorists, etc) to discover the best businesses in your city
2. Upvote the businesses you like for a given spotlight
3. Nominate businesses to the spotlight by answering a few questions conversationally.
We want your uncensored thoughts! What do you like/could improve? Any concerns? I would appreciate your feedback as we develop this concept. Thank you!

@santoash@ChaurdiaMamta Maybe.. ask a question / some other tool .. to figure out a way to "test authentic upvotes verification" for an upvote for a business..
Great question!
There are a few ways we are thinking of building trust in the upvotes:
1. Limit the number of upvotes so a single user cannot influence ranks beyond a point.
2. Limit the number of upvotes a user can spend on a single spotlight in a given period.
3. Use anomaly detection to detect patterns that unfairly affect specific businesses. (Eg: account voting for one business across several spotlights)
Fairness in reviews is more straightforward to gauge using the same logic from above combined with the relevancy and specificity of the review text provided.
