ATON units do not get enough credit for what they do. They are truly a multifaceted unit where primary mission is Aids to Navigation, but also conduct law-enforcement (LE) and search and rescue (SAR) sorties as well. Most Coast Guard units are just primary missioned with LE and SAR. The Black Hull Fleet of the USCG does not get the recognition it deserves!
