NEW: Vance world welcomes the prospect of this Iran agreement being framed as the “Vance Peace Deal.”
“Without question, the biggest potential political liability Vance had was the unpopularity of the war in Iran … So it’s fascinating to watch his biggest enemies in the GOP unwittingly inoculate him from that liability by branding him as responsible for the peace deal,” a person close to the WH who supports the deal tells me.

NOW: POTUS said "economic catastrophe" could have happened if the war continued.
He emphasized stocks rose every time a deal was close.
He said he did not want to be Herbert Hoover.
NEW: “Knives are out” at the White House
The ascension of Bill Pulte is a clear sign of the recent mood inside Trump’s White House: angry, insular, grievance-driven and increasingly shaped by a group of loyalists with direct access to the president.
Interviews with Trump allies, GOP Senate aides and people close to the White House reveal a president “increasingly frustrated with everyone, from his own team to the Senate,” a MAGA world operative close to the White House told me.

.@JBKSchlossberg is feeling bullish about his chances of winning the crowded contest for New York’s 12th Congressional District.
Why? Because his cousin RFK Jr. came to him in a dream.
“He was saying, ‘Good job, you’re gonna win,’” he told our @DashaBurns.👇
Bottom line:
The administration clearly believes it has a framework.
What it does not yet have is a publicly explained final agreement.
The next several weeks will determine whether this becomes a historic diplomatic breakthrough or simply a temporary pause in a long-running confrontation.
NEW: After listening to senior administration officials brief press on Iran today, the clearest takeaway is that this is NOT a final nuclear deal.
What has been signed is a memorandum of understanding that creates a 60-day negotiation framework. The hardest technical issues remain unresolved.
Details 👇🧵
The biggest unanswered questions remain the most important ones:
• What nuclear activities must Iran actually stop?
• What enrichment, if any, is allowed?
• What inspections will be required?
• What sanctions get lifted?
• What triggers snapback penalties?
On #TheConversation, EPA chief Lee Zeldin got fired up about “morally bankrupt” members of Congress.
“If Congress wants me to regulate the heck out of greenhouse gas emissions, change the law,” he told our @DashaBurns in defense of his EPA agenda.

NEW: After Trump warned Thursday morning that he would hit Iran “VERY HARD TONIGHT,” leaders from Qatar, the UAE and Pakistan made a last-ditch push to change his mind.
They assured him a preliminary agreement was within reach. According to administration officials and a diplomat, the calls helped persuade Trump to hold off on military action — for now.

BREAKING: POTUS has now announced he is nominating Jay Clayton to replace Bill Pulte/Tulsi Gabbard as ODNI.
But…the timing does not help Congress with FISA. While the Senate returns on Monday, House is gone next week after a failed voted on extending the surveillance legislation earlier today.
